Fayetteville is a nice downtown area with good bars and parking. Dress warm

I went one year. It was a really long arse drive, and the campus was dead. I'm pretty certain we ended up eating at a Chinese restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner because it was the only place that looked to be open.

We always give Arkansas shite because it's what we do. Took the kids one year for a day trip in Arkansas. Went inter tubbing down one of their rivers. Was a great time and the river was so prestine and clear. My young son then asked me why we could never see the bottom of any of our streams or rivers. Beautiful area

Now coming back from Nashville through eastern Arkansas was a different story. No way in hell would I live there.

It’s a nice venue for a game. However, in 2014, LSU lost the game. Just as bad, the weather was terrible as it was very cold, threatening to snow. And it was a long walk back to the car.

Live in NWA and agree with what Sol2 recommended. Wrights is a great local BBQ place and highly recommend you go to one of the locations, the one on Johnson is the original. I believe the team stays at the Embassy Suites in Rogers, which is surrounded by lots of chain restaurants and a Top Golf.

If you are 30+ stay in Rogers/Bentonville. Nicer hotels and great restaurants. Few bars in both downtown, but more upscale bars vs college bars.

It’s a beautiful area. Lots of bike trails and outdoor stuff but it’s always freezing when there for football. Great baseball road trip. I enjoy going up there. The bus shuttle system they have from parking works well. Not a big fan of the stadium. Sight lines seem “off”…at least from visitor cheap seats. Hugo’s downtown had some good burgers. Looks a little sketch as it’s downstairs in basement level downtown. We also ate at a really good place in downtown Roger’s but can’t remember name. Definitely a worthwhile trip but it’s COLD!

We went in 2014 I think it was. It was below freezing at the game which was at night. We left at halftime it was so uncomfortable.

I flew into the WalMart airport which closes down early on Thanksgiving Day (or at least it did the year I went).

Yes. Hills everywhere. Definitely not used to walking that. Stadium was nice and it was freezing cold that day.

I have been to European mountain tops while it snowed. I have been snow skiing in Colorado, and walked the streets of New York City in January with ice on the ground. I spent a week in Maine with temperatures at -10 degrees. But I have never been as cold in my life as I was in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for a November football game. Be prepared for that possibility.

Bring warm clothes and be ready for hate that you may not understand. For some reason we are their most hated rival
