You know the first game is less than two weeks. It'd be nice to know if I made the cut or not.

If you normally get tickets for high profile road games and/or bowl games, you will likely be offered

From what I gather is if you opted in you are going to at least get 2 tickets to every game
Tickets apparently won't be released until the week of the game, this is due to the fact that it's possible that LSU could allow more fans to attend if capacity is increased. For instance, the bama game could very well be 50% capacity instead of 25%
I think that will cut down on the resell ticket market for sure

I finally opted out because apparently the cost of the tickets hasn't changed. You are paying for a 5 game season ticket package at the same cost you were going to pay anyway.
I'm not sitting in a limited stadium capacity for that.
I rolled it over to next season

1. Every season ticket holding account that has not opted out should get 2 tickets. A few accounts might get 4 or even 6 tickets.

2. LSU Ticket Office told me that we should receive an email on how to access our tickets either late this week or early next week. All tickets will be mobile and they will be emailed out the week of each home game.

3. If you are still IN, you will get at least 2 tickets to all 5 home games. Where those seats are exactly is being determined now since LSU did not know for sure who was opting out finally until Friday night.

For students, priority will be given to students that have had a Covid test that was reported to the school since 8/15/20 (per email my son received about an hour ago).

Your options were:

Keep tix - no discussion of refund or credit
Donate cost of tix to LSU Foundation for tax deduction
Opt out and apply to 2021
Opt out, pay $100, get refund by get to renew for 2021
Opt out and get refund, with no promise of tix the next season

I'm not waiting to find out
The benefit if you opt in is you most likely will get some benefits with regards to future bowl games, etc.

The way I understand it is the cost of the season tickets will be what you have already paid including your TAF per your stadium assignment

My guess is if you have 4 tickets and you get 2, they will refund the amount for the 2 only. The other 2 will be charged accordingly based on the fee schedule they put out last week which is basically the cost of your normal season ticket.

Plus you know entrance and exit of stadium along with bathrooms and any type of concession will be a cluster.
I don't feel like wearing a mask for 4 hours in Sept heat at 230 along with dealing with those that end up showing up to tailgate anyway.

Before all this started I opted not to renew my tickets and join the request list to get better seats so I screwed myself I believe.

I'm assuming that I'll get at least four games at the current level of attendance and at my priority point status. Had two to the national championship game, high up, but got them.

Doing it week by week only increases the chances of more people going as restrictions loosen. It just going to be a pain in the arse to plan.

hopefully they take longevity into consideration. I've had mine since 1986.

I'm trying to figure out what on earth you were thinking and why you just didn't put in for the upgrade list and keep your current seats? You would have still had the option to decline if you couldn't upgrade.

I travel a lot for work so If I didn’t get better seats I was not going to renew this season. I had 2 in the skyline club, and 2 in the west uppers and only wanted 2 lower. They are a pain to handle when I can only make a few home games.

I heard they can’t even sell the 25k allotment from so many backing out this year.

Incorrect. Brian Broussard (ticket manager) was on the air last week and stated that fans who opt in will receive a credit since only five games will be played. If memory is correct, in the range of $75 to $100 for the season.

Going from four SEC games and three nonconference games to five conference games.

Capacity changes is one reason why we decided to opt in. I figured the odds of it staying at 25% all season would probably change for the better. Plus seeing Tiger Stadium at 25% capacity might be a once in a lifetime experience. Hope to make the list.
