I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking here and I haven’t been since 98, but I’ve read on TD in the past to check hotel options on the other side of the river if you’re trying stay within a budget

Omaha Steaks is a retail chain, not a restaurant.

Been looking at hotel prices and they’re ridiculous. Think AirBNb is the way to go this year. See you at Barrett’s.

I went in 2017. I stayed at the Doubletree, which is walking distance to the stadium. They also will take you anywhere in town on their shuttle.

I am booking 5 nights at Cambria Suites in the next week or two using points. Can cancel if they don't make it.

Check their cancellation policies. Many hotels significantly charge you for cancelations during that time period.

The times we’ve gone, we found hotels right next to the stadium a few weeks before the series. They were $$$.

Across the river is much cheaper but then requires transport over to the stadium and back.

If you haven't booked by now, you're late.

I took my boys on a spur of the moment CWS trip. Left after LSU won their 1st game agianst Fullerton in 2015 with no hotel room pre booked and no tickets. Found a room 2 miles from the stadium for $125 a night and got reserved tickets to watch them play TCU at the stadium the day of the game. Great experience, if you want to stay at one of the hotels closer to the stadium a assume you have to book earlier but we didn't and had a great time.

Gotta Love LSU fans .Baseball team has played no one and everyone booking tickets to omaha. Mid way thru SEC season everyone will want to fire coach Lets actually see the baseball team win some series against top competition before booking tickets.

The "early" booking should've occurred last June/July when hotels open up for their bookings for this year's CWS.

At this point, Council Bluffs is probably the closest hotel option at a decent price.

Regarding flights, just book a refundable flight if you plan to reserve it now. Or get a non-refundable that you can cancel and put the funds toward another flight in the next 12 months.
