With the tropical storm expected to make the biggest impact in Lexington around 7:00 - 10:00 Saturday night, I wonder if they'll consider moving kickoff up a few hours to get ahead of the worst weather.

It’ll be in north Alabama at 8pm Saturday night. No way it’ll have any effect on the game

Jay Johnson has ruined the thought process of the average fan concerning weather

It just rains in North La during hurricanes that are less than a cat 4. Last I checked Kentucky is North of Tennessee which is North of Alabama which is almost twice as long as Louisiana. Meaning there’s a lot of distance between Kentucky and the coast; that hurricane has about as much impact on the game as an earthquake in Alaska. Not one chance it impacts the game. Book it.

Track right now says no. But maybe some lightning delays? I’m not a weather jock.

I’m from south Louisiana, lived in Kentucky almost 20 years… when the Deep South gets hurricanes, we get torrential rains, even all the way up here in Lexington. The hurricane in 2024 was crazy with all the rain we received.

College football has been played in tropical fronts many times. I see no chance of any time being moved

If any game gets effected it will be Memphis & UAB 6pm kickoff in Memphis. The over is 52.5 so hammer the under if you’re worried about it.

Tf you talking about. The tropical depression won't be anywhere near there at gametime with current models having it in TN and fading fast @1am Sunday. TN is south of Kentucky btw if you are struggling with a map.

CLK also likes weather delays (when at home). Wonder if they both subscribe to the same thought that it adversely affects the competition?

Chat says…
Current Lexington forecast for the game

The latest forecasts are looking fairly favorable at kickoff, although there is some uncertainty about rain later Saturday:

* Temperature at kickoff: about 70–72°F
* Rain: Current stadium-specific forecast has only about a 12% chance of rain around kickoff, with conditions expected to be dry.
* Wind: around 6 mph, gusting near 9 mph
