sorry, I don't buy that. Jennings looking awful for most of the night. he had 130 something yards on two plays.

he was not good in the first half. at all. he made a good throw on a busted play to dural that went for 80 yards. without that one play, lsu has like 30 yards passing and 17 yards rushing for the first half.

I don't think it is fair to say Jennings looked bad in the first half. He was in some 3rd and longs due to us not being able to run the ball.

the first half of the first game with all new starters at receiver and an o-line having trouble with defensive shifts. He wasn't helped by the ultra-conservative play calling, but he had command of the team...no confusion, false starts, mis-reads, bad exchanges, etc. that usually indicate that a QB is "not good".

People are way too polarizing in their opinions.
1) Harris got thrown to the wolves in his one whole series after LSU was just flat out getting spanked.
2) Re: Happy Feet. Did you see the blocking on the 3rd down passing play? That's not happy feet. That's I'm about to get blown up feet.
3) Jennings played like crap outside of maybe 3-4 throws, including the "busted play".
4) Speaking of busted play, that was one hell of a read by Dural, and one hell of a floater thrown by Jennings in perfect stride.
5) Giving him credit for the Diarse TD is wrong. Diarse just flat out went LOLDIARSEWINS mode. AJ hit a stationary target 8 yards down field wide open.
6) Credit where credit is due. Jennings was given every chance to succeed. He sucked, but when we needed him to, he made winning plays. I don't think that arm strength will fly come SEC play. That is my worry. If you think he'll get away floating balls all over the field vs the Bama secondary, I think you're dead wrong.
7) The Jefferson comparisons are ridiculous, and I hope people give that crap up. Jennings is a smarter player than Jefferson by quite a wide margin with much better character.
Their QB is also taking way too much flack today. His receivers looked downright scared of our DBs by the end of the game. If you think we pull this off against a one and a half dimensional team, you are likely wrong.
