He just needs to protect the football and make good decisions. He did that last night.

With the way Jennings was handling the game and it being close throughout, IMO, it's not the right time just "to get experience." That's what Sam Houston and New Mexico St games are for...

LSU had the momentum most of the second half. No reason to put a true freshman QB in to possibly screw up and flip that momentum while Jennings was leading the comeback

Not hating on Jennings, but what was the deal with short passes?

Do we not believe in quick slants or anything like that? It seems like every pass was either 20+ yards down field or a pass to the RB.

I can only think of two and one was the 2 pt conversion to Quinn and the other was a 10 yard comeback route to Diarse

Yeah, he looked unsure and nervous, but was screwed by terrible playcalling and Dillon Gordon.

The 2 pt conversion, kid hit his rollout perfectly in a high pressure situation. Very well done

Absolutely. And the TD pass to Diarse was spectacular. He threw it well before Diarse made his cut, and put it on the money.

I'm actually good with AJ.

I think he has a lot of promise. His arm strength looked damned good.

He threw to Dural while he was double covered a few times last night. Thank the badger secondary for being awful. That will not work in the SEC. He was far from legit

Harris was completely loss when he was on the field. Jennings is our QB.

I said it on here after seeing him scrimmage . Great improvement in mechanics showing better than average arm strength and uncanny accuracy on the move . There were many who didn't want to hear it ..... But he ain't going nowhere . Pulling away from the Magnolia now heading east

True and I agree. Good side of that is that he threw it where only Dural could catch the ball

I agree. He played pretty well for a tough first game. We have a pretty easy September ahead, though, so Harris still has time to earn the start.

Jennings has to be the guy. Harris was nervous and confused in front of a pro lsu crowd.

He'd be a mess on the road in the swamp and at auburn

Stop The Press.....

The LSU Nation needs to take a step back, take a breath, and realize that a true sophomore carried his team back from a 21 point deficit. No, he was not spectacular, but dang, second half was impressive.

He was pretty good but you could tell he was prepared poorly. More bad QB coaching from our staff. We are the kings of bad quarterbacking in CFB.

By 21, you mean 17. Right?
