Is aramark responsible for basketball concessions? The concessions in the PMAC are pretty great, they got a Fuzzy’s, Chick fil a, and a whole bunch of side stands that make it more convenient to just grab one thing

What, you don't enjoy cardboard cutout nachos with "cheese substitute"?

LSU doesn't care about the cheap seats.

Stadium Club quality has gotten significantly worse, too. I don't sit up there regularly. But I got a $20 ticket off a scalper this year and was very disappointed with how far the food has gone down. For what most of those people pay for those tickets, I'm surprised they don't complain more.

It's comical how bad it is. How are you out of popcorn and jalapenos before the game even starts? The other food they do have is horrible.

It’s unbelievable that LSU hasn’t gone to more of a professional sports model with renting out space to established restaurants, breweries, etc. You could have a couple of Chimes stands, Brennan’s stands, Blue Dog, Superior, Abita, etc. People would pay a premium for it as well. That said, management has no interest in setting a standard and only cares about the bottom line.

Even before Aramark they were always out of stuff early for the last home game. You’d think they could order extra and just use it at other events but apparently they just prefer to cut it close.

Ole Miss serves about 40k people less than LSU does on an average gameday.

If true about the millions of dollars upfront payment to LSU—-why in the heck would they run out of food early on. That just doesn’t make sense. I’d be selling shitty nachos til the last person left the stadium

LSU has to serve more people than just about any other CFB stadium in the country. It’s easy to look good when only only 40,000 people show up.

You have to understand they are feeding 100,000 people . Do you even realize what kind of inventory you would have to have to keep up ? It would take a hell of a stock room to
hold the groceries. Even at a McDonalds in public doesn’t come close to the sheer volume of customers they face . $100,000 a month in sales at a fast food restaurant is considered a good month . I know because I was GM for years . 100,000 people would clear out a over stocked restaurant in 3 hrs providing you had the employees to do so .
It is very hard to keep up with that kind of volume and probably just don’t have the storage space .

You make a good point, and logistics are certainly a challenge when dealing with crowds at a large venue, and a great deal of effort is surely required to do it well, but it is a familiar challenge to those who do it professionally, including those who actually bid for the right to do so. It has been done well at Tiger stadium in the past, and better still at other venues as described above.

They ran out of soft pretzels in the 100’s section before halftime

Sat in Section 408 row 17 seats 21 and 22, the one next to us. Really did not do a very through job of selecting the people.

I will get crushed for this but here goes. Yes, the overall concession experience is negative starting with price and quality of food.
That said, I had a good experience in the SEZ concessions last night. Had my 8-year-old with me. I ordered a large drink for me. The woman behind the counter offered and gave me a free styrofoam cup with the drink of my choice for my kid. She did not have to do that but I appreciated it.
Overall, yes, the concessions are awful but I think a small percentage of those people are trying.
