What is even more sad it that as bad as they are, they actually improved this year compared to last year. LSU should really go back in house with the concessions.

North end zone near 241 was dramatically improved. Never out of stuff, quality was what I’d expect at a sporting event and had enough competent people working to keep the lines moving. Not griping this year.

The only thing I ever get is coke. We are usually full from tailgating and only need coke for our Jack.

The two baws sitting next to me bought nachos. They complained the cheese was cold. Those fat drunk dudes ate it all but bitched the whole time.

It's still on Alleva. While organizations around the country were firing them, he was hiring them. A 10minute internet search would have told him that.

I think he sometimes gets too much blame, but there's no question that he screwed LSU fans deliberately when it comes to concessions.

Two full seasons since I've spent anything at LSU football concessions.

Listened to a podcast on concessions and professional teams the other day. I may not get all the details exactly correct but essentially the way it works is these big concession companies (Aramark, etc.) approach the university or pro team and offer them lets say $30 million dollars up front. So the school is paid up front with a fat check and they are told they dont have to lift a finger for the length of the contract. After that the concession provider is responsible for everything. There main concern has nothing to do with the team, food quality, low prices, etc. They have to make their $30+ million back and will cut whatever corners they can to get there. They can charge whatever they want, have the quality be whatever they want etc. So while yes it is LSU's fault for signing up for this, there is nothing they can really do (besides offer input) after they sign the contract. The podcast did discuss that schools and pro teams are approaching these contracts differently now because they are idiotic.

The only game I was able to make this year was Alabama, and they had plenty of Cokes for me and Jack. I had no other interaction this year with concessions.

The lack of complaining threads this season suggested to me that maybe things had gotten better. I guess we've all just lowered our expectations. Too bad, those threads were always fun to read.

At one of the games last year, after waiting 30 minutes in line, I was told "wheeze out of eveythinz but coke".

Not yet aware of the degree of incompetency I faced, I exasperatedly suggested they post a sign to inform those waiting in line that the signs proclaiming available eats were no longer accurate, the dullard behind the counter responded, with the flattest, most disengaged affect imaginable, "wheeze aint gots noze penz"
