There’s not really anything wrong with these comments. I don’t think it’s crazy to say he won’t be what LSU has had at QB recently (Burrow & Daniels). He can still be very good and not come close to that level.
Then the Pavia comment sounds bad because he’s turned into a huge douche, but on the field Pavia was a baller.
ETA: I don’t want an offense where the QB has to be Superman. I want an offense that makes the QB look like Superman.

Kiffin had a lot of choices this offseason and got the QB he wanted for his system. That alone should tell you all you need to know. Leavitt will function like a Jackson Dart until Lane finds the next Trinidad.

This. The best thing about Kiffin as a coach is the way he can adapt his offense to fit his roster

Right. Burrow and Daniels were the exceptions and had two of the best QB seasons of all time. Nuss and guys like that have been more what we have been used to. Guys who have some decent talent, but usually don't put it all together.

I believe Kiffin is the best QBC/OC combination in CFB. Kiffin will have Leavitt prepared, Kiffin will call plays that give Leavitt the best opportunity to succeed. I certainly hope Leavitt rises to the challenge, and I'm optimistic about this season.

I remember anonymous SEC coaches criticizing Daniels and Burrow prior to their breakout seasons as well. I'm not saying Leavitt will put up their numbers, but Kiffin sure as hell seems like he's confident he got himself a winner at QB. I'll take his word for it.

While Leavitt doesn't have a stronger arm than any of the 3 guys, he can definitely hold his own with his legs. Hopefully he has retained that and they allow him to do it. Just let him know he can't be taking hits. I still the Leavitt is fully capable of running this offense to perfection. He can throw plenty well and has help lead his team to a playoff run before. Remember, nobody but LSU wanted Burrow and Daniels when they left their schools.

Honestly this just speaks to how far we’ve come at the QB position bc even like a decade ago you’d be laughing them out the room for saying the normal talent level of a LSU QB is high 
Let’s be real, we have some extreme highs but not exactly a QB factory, so this feels like dressed up version of just being like “well he’s no burrow or Daniel’s”
