It is pushing a social agenda, disguised as comedy.

Funny how those shows only do this toward one side.

The publicity is priceless. Close to Joey B and the 2019 magic.

I watch the opening segment which was Trump comparing himself to Jesus, which was funny and the Weekend update which is typical good. This segment was on weekend update, and they started out by actually explaining the Whitehouse invitation deal and actually taking her side which was nice, then they really made her look like a meanie but also a bad arse. She was in her LSU jersey etc, it is like gold for LSU and Angel Reese.

I say great news. This exposure is good for the expansion of LSU's brand. Both LSU and Angel Reese will reap benefits from this exposure. Angle Reese is arguably the face of women's college basketball alone with Catlin Clark. It like manner, it fuels continued publicity for the women's program. This is big time. I don't see any ill impacts from this skit. Absolutely none at all.

SNL has only ever been funny when Eddie Murphy was on it plus a few good moments with Steve Martin.

Darrel Hammond's political impersonations were SNL's all-time peak. Will Ferrell and Norm McDonald were great as well.

ETA: I only made it a third of the way through the Reese skit. Are they even trying to be funny?

Meh overall but, but awesome to see the publicity for the program.

I did laugh when she said people have been talking about women's sports all week because we're balling. I dropped FIFTEEN on Iowa.

Reminded me of the family guy WNBA sketch. "Beginning the 2nd half the score is 14-9 and Williams leads the scoring with 4, which is why she commands seven THOUSAND dollars a year."

I doubt there has ever been a college women’s basketball player depiction in the universities jersey on SNL before.

SNL is like all the other late night shows; political hacks who are more concerned with their agendas than they are with comedy. Jimmy Fallon is the only late night host who even attempts comedy any more.

SNL could do hilarious parodies on Kamela Harris, but they're afraid to go there, as are all the other late night shows.

Punky Johnson is from NOLA and went to Nicholls State.

Pretty cool of her basically giving a shout out to LSU/Reese with some light mockery.

Why the quick anchor for the thread?

SNL's writers are terrible. Only SNL could frick up an Angel Reese parody skit. I mean, her eyelashes were not even long.

So True. I'll go one step further. You could do a whole show every week just on Kamala and FJB.

But like I said everything is only directed towards one party.

How many skits could also be done on men who want to be women and women who want to be men?

The NO1 show on late nite is Gutfeld, so it's not like people would not watch if they were fair and balanced. Pardon the pun.
