For the first down cheer. STTDB was obviously in play for Neck.

“Beat the shite out of them” never heard it, or heard it so infrequently I don’t remember it.

But it was from that typical student who couldn’t understand why Ryan Perriloux was on kickoff coverage.

That always made me laugh.

I think I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying kick their arse started in 2009. Never mind. Move along.

Was a freshman in 2013. It was being said then, but it wasn't that loud. Maybe 25% of the section said it.

By the time I graduated last year nearly everyone was saying it.

Not sure what the big deal is to be honest.

I guess the old folks don’t appreciate my tone. 32 downvotes? Yeesh. Students have been saying it for years, what’s the big deal? You want a hostile environment or not?

Last time I sat in the student section was 2005 and I absolutely remember students saying this before that.

When were you at LSU? I remember a few people who sat three rows up from me and my friends in the student section started it back in 2011.

Soo...it started then?

I sat in the student section for the 2004-2010 seasons. I do not remember ever hearing this. During my day, first downs were always followed by "kick their arse". I also do not remember ever hearing STTDB. Maybe I was just too focused on the games.

I think one of my friends started it. We had reserved seats behind the band during the DiNardo years. So it dates back to 97 or 98. After the Kick their arse part everyone got quiet and he would scream "and beat the everloving sh*t out of them"

It’s been around for a while just very small pockets would do it. At least 10+ years. I remember being in the student section in 2008 for the Georgia game and some group of drunk girls were screaming it every single time. It’s basically becoming the entire section now

I know "kick their a$$" was chanted as far back as the 80's.

Some girls that I sat near in the student section circa 2006 would yell it after the “Kick their arse.”

It's really funny that people act like all these things were started by current students. It's an absolute fact that this was being chanted at an audible level for at least 10 years if not longer.

I’ve always disliked this stupid add-on.

Mostly because it’s root is narcissism. Not enough to just do the same cheer as everyone else... someone always has to yell “look at me!”

I don’t care about profanity. I’m pro-neck and Tiger Rag, in all their profane glory.

I am, however against general stupidity. Our student section doesn’t live up to its reputation anymore. They’re weak. Soft.

Some trends just take a while to become fully incorporated.
