His team is going to pay a couple of media members to push a narrative that supports him. That’s a given. Can’t say for sure but I’d bet money that’s what happened with Ryan Clark.
No reasonably objective person is going to support Jayden in this.

Should never be mentioned in the same thought.

Apparently, (according to this woman), all universities have a time limit they can use prior players - name, image, and likeness -- in their advertisements.

Thanks. I have never heard of this rule before and based on what I know about LSU and other programs I think she is full of shite. Every program has pictures and memorabilia of former greats all over the football ops facilities and souvenir stores.

Nobody has.

Perhaps it’s just the cynic in me, but I’m really beginning to believe that Jayden/Jayden’s mommy/Jayden’s camp have conjured up a novel way to shake LSU down for more $$$. And in as polite a way as possible (or not… I really don’t care), the university needs to tell them to pound sand.

Anyone who sides with Jayden on this issue is mentally retarded.

You can have the heisman out. Just take his name off and it will say qb 5

Unless things have changed, we all signed something when we started LSU athletics that says pictures of you playing at LSU are 100% owned by lsu forever and they can use as they see fit

Was extremely clear and had zero grey area

ETA: There is a picture of me while at LSU on the wall at a Walk Ons. I certainly don’t get the $3.50 that I’m worth for it

Yes, but that was before NIL. NIL agreements just started a few years ago and apparently in their NIL deals, they have a period of how long the university can use the NIL in advertisements, promotions, etc.

That is why she thinks this is the first of many to come.

Things have changed. 3 letters - NIL. When you played, you got a stipend, but you didn't get NIL money. Again, I'm just learning about this today and it is according to this woman.

I still say in the near future (In about 5 - 10 years) College Football will go back to those days when you played (just scholarships and stipends) and the 4 stars and 5 star athletes will have some sort of "minor league" set up where they make money. That is when these players are going to find out their Name, Image, and Likeness is not worth what they think it is.

These players don't understand that college football fans go to these games because of the university not to see them. People want to see LSU win, not to see if a certain running back ran over 100 yards or a QB that throws over 300 yards.

That crap doesn't matter if LSU loses the damn game.

Right now, these big time players have the big universities behind them. When these spoiled players are in these minor league games, with about 30,000 fans, their NIL won't mean crap. Ask any minor league baseball player how fun the minor leagues are.

Basically, said LSU or Lane should have asked Jayden first and should have done whatever Jayden told them to do when asked.

I am sorry, but he's no longer an employee at LSU, errr, I mean a student athlete getting paid by boosters

Well, that is according to this woman - who is a lawyer. Check out her instagram where she talks about it in one of her recent posts. In that post, she is not as anti-LSU as she was on the radio this morning, though.

LSU is not making much off of his NIL. The fact they wanted his trophy removed says it all. It ain't about $. This is 100% about ego.

She only says it’s possible based on the agreement. I can’t imagine any college would not keep their rights to use the images for perpetuity

Claims that this is all LSU's fault and has nothing to do with Pickett wearing the number 5. She says it is about an agreement that Daniels had with LSU about how long they can use his name, image, and likeness. And, she says LSU used his NIL longer than they agree upon.

She's likely being used as a spokesperson by the Daniels "team" as they try to shift the narrative because of universal blowback.
