Am I the only one who doesn’t understand Brennan’s decision to transfer?

He has 1-2 years of eligibility left, depending on whether he gets an injury redshirt. He would probably win the starting job next year. We have loads of WR talent. He doesn’t even know who the incoming coach will be yet; could be an offensive guru. I don’t get it. I think he’d beat Max out by a mile in the spring and summer. Maybe I’m just way off base?

He wants to go to a program where he feels the staff is in place and he can step in and lead from day one.

That's not LSU. We have a long way to go.

I think entering the portal is all about options. Since he does not know who the new coach will be, he gets to investigate possible landing spots. If the new hire impresses him or fits, he can always leave the portal and remain at LSU

you sure about that? Because I don't think he was going to beat out Max this fall, before his injury took care of that. And we already have Nuss and Howard is coming in. Oh yea, and we don't know who the new coach's offensive scheme will be.

He's got to go somewhere he's guaranteed to start. His eligibility is almost gone.

New coach doesn't owe anyone on the team any loyalty.

Smart move by Brennan, IMO. He can go to a school with crappy QB and take over immediately. Watch him kick our arse at Bama next year

They guy has been here since Obama was in office and still might get 2 more years. I think he sees LSU as a total chaos situation and doesn’t wanna play for another staff to hopefully win a job. I think he picks a place like Burrow did where he has a great shot to start day 1 in Spring. I don’t think it’ll be a big school move either.

If that's the case then we were always fricked this year and next year, because Max Johnson is not it.

I tend to disagree....I figure we would have won 7-8 games with Brennan this year, which in hindsight may have saved Ed's job so maybe Myles' injury was a blessing in disguise.

LSU is a shite show right now. He has been so loyal for so long. It was time for him to finally put himself first in lieu of the circumstances. Great kid, great family. He loves LSU. I’m sure it truly was a difficult decision but it’s time for Myles to do what’s best for him.

Brennan would have been the starter the entire season, except for injury.

It's not. He has one year left. Period.
