I believe LSU has taken a huge leap in the offense compared to last year and probably in the D, too. I am pretty sure that LSU will not make 3+major mistakes in ST including a blocked extra point. FSU has also made a leap but I don’t think it is as big as LSU, particularly on O. LSU will be hard to control on offense this year. IMO they will be almost impossible to hold back by even a good defense. In addition to being strong they will be very versatile.

My sentiments exactly. Last season was LSU's FIRST game with an entirely new staff, and full of new players after the roster was gutted after '21. The offseason was spent trying to put together a roster and coaches/players familiarizing themselves with each other and their surroundings. And still only got beat by the absolute slimmest of margins. Not to mention Maason Smith didn't play and Harold Perkins was yet to emerge.

Maybe the biggest unmentioned factor in this will be revenge. LSU has been looking toward this game with revenge on their mind all offseason. Im betting they come out with their hair on fire.

FSU has a lot of their returning talent and will be a good team this year, but they aint gonna be ready for what's coming.

LSU pulls away in the 2nd half. 34-21

I don’t think so. They lost their bowl game to Kansas

They were third in the final BCS rankings. They were still a top ten team in the polls after the bowl loss.

LSU didn't blow out a single relevant regular season opponent last year. I don't see it happening.

The “final BCS rankings” were before bowl games. Saying they finished #3 is like saying Ohio State finished #1 in 2007.

Yeah they finished the season as a top 10 team, but they obviously weren’t the 3rd best team in the country.

LSU's schedule in 2007nseason looked tougher through 6 games but had four home games vs two away. Two teams ranked top 10 at the time we played them with another in the top 15.

at Mississippi State W 45–0
No. 9 Virginia Tech W 48–7
Middle Tennessee W 44–0
No. 12 South Carolina W 28–16
at Tulane W 34–9
No. 9 Florida W 28–24

Through 6 this season, 2 home 3 away, 1 neutral site
No. 8 Florida State (neutral site) with 2 teams currently ranked, 1 in the top 10 and the other in the top 25
Grambling
at Mississippi State
Arkansas
at No. 22 Ole Miss
at Missouri

Calling now for an ironic twist. LSU puts this game away thanks to a punt return for a TD late in the game.

Wishful thinking.

This will be a close game and the winner will be the team that makes a play in the 4th Q to take control.

I just hope we don't lose by 30.

If we win by 1 point I will be celebrating a huge win.

I live in Tampa and FSU fans don't think it will be close saying they should have won last year by 2 TD's. They are expecting a blow out in their favor. I hope LSU pushes their expectations up dat azz!

Ok sure but they still weren’t overhyped when LSU played them. They were ranked #9 in the country when the game was played which is exactly how they finished going by your criteria so if anything they were properly hyped.
