Just curious about the consensus here... should a regular baseball game be shorter than that timewise?

I think the first inning was entirely too long...

seriously, 4 hours is a bit long for any sporting event, IMO...

How should it have been shortened, without taking away from the game?

So how do suggest this be regulated? I know you are a fan of big government, but this is a reach even for you Rex. Should this be handled at the Fed level or do you think NCAA can handles? Maybe put this under DOJ.

College baseball should play 15 minute periods instead of 20, IMO

Were you inconvenienced by having to stay at the game for so long?

If you're gonna bitch about something have a solution.

Wait, this is the internet. Carry on.

College baseball has done a great job of shortening the games this year. The lack of hitting helps as well.

Last night's game was something of an anomaly for 2013.

Really. The weirdest game I can ever recall attending at the Box. I would not have wanted it to end before the 8th. That's for sure.

Kind of weird... there weren't a whole lot of throws to first to hold runners, or many walks to the mound to change pitchers, or long injury timeouts... just seemed strange to go on so long.

I'll never understand this obsession some people have with making sporting events shorter.

Broadcasters are always trying to make football games shorter.

People complain because baseball is sooo slow.

These sports actually existed before TV and short attention spans. How about YOU adapt to IT instead of IT adapt to YOU?

I like the way the SEC pitch clock has speeded up the game without taking away from it. Just my opinion.

An accurate strike zone from home plate ump would have been a start.

Low flying helicopter at the bottom of the 7th. That was weird and a whole thread at that.
