Who here really trust Alleva to make the next hire. If we have any hope of ever competing for sec championships he has to be fired. He can't make the next hire.

We're historically a slightly above average program. We've only had one basketball coach in our entire history that actually made LSU a consistent winner.

I don't like Alleva either, but we're hardly a sleeping giant. Average facilities, apathetic fans, etc...

I get it. We will never be a Kentucky type program. But there is no way Florida should be a better basketball program than LSU. With the right coach LSU should al least be a program that makes it to the tourney on a regular basis.

I'm with you. Most of the Rant thinks this way as well. We can only hope the upper administration will see the light and tell him to pack his bags. However, I don't have much faith in F. King either. Maybe our Governor can help.......oh no, I forgot, he's a democrat too. Oh well, I guess we are stuck with Alleva.....this sucks.

They like their government handouts more. And to get them you have to make the university look poor. You can't look poor when paying top dollar for elite coaches. They see football as an expense rather than an asset to invest in.

What do you mean "will be"? I think it's already proven.

12 highest paid coach in the sec at the moment.... And you think all of a sudden LSU is going to get that $4 million dollar coach? We have no fan support, the pmac is old, louisiana does not have a ton of highschool talent for basketball to choose from.

We also had two NBA players on the roster last year, including the number 1 overall pick, and didn't come close to making the NCAA tournament.

Yeah the #1 overall pick who was thrilled to be here. Loved going to class and playing hard for lsu. Both of those "NBA Players" were out of state talent. You can bring in some ok out of state talent but whats appealing to come to LSU to play basketball? No basketball support and it wont happen over night with a new coach

Hell yeah they should be. UF should be dominant in everything because they have a buttload of in state talent available for everything.

All true, but it sure doesn't help anything when you mail in the hiring process. I mean you should at least try shouldn't you? We did not with the CJJ hire, I don't care what JA says. We just bowed to pressure from the DB mafia.

You could just change your thread title to:

John Brady years are looking like the golden age right now.
