It was a tiger tour. You say things to draw an applause. After years of people complaining that we give opposing teams better seats than we get on the road, saying Bama will now have shitty seats drew a reaction.

Not complicated.

I love it, but people aren't thinking of a possible consequence.

Opposing fans have always had a front row, lower bowl experience of Tiger Stadium. They sat directly across the student section and band.

Those opposing fans who have never experienced that, will never. It's a completely different and much less spectacular experience in the upper decks as opposed to lower bowl. The legend of tiger stadium has continued in part thanks to this.

But frick em

Well it will be 10 years before I get another chance to go to Athens, so apparently the fan opposing fan experience is no longer a high priority and im ok with that.

either they are stupid and forgot about the game of the century or they are stupid for saying lsu's last win vs bama in tiger stadium was 2010 after having established that bama won in '12. so bama has a one game win streak in tiger stadium...whipity do! not sure how the author meant this.

Joe Dean told several of the booster clubs once that LSU & bama use to have a gentleman's agreement to provide 15,000 seats each yr. Almost 7,000 more than the league required at that time. But one yr when bama was hosting, they only gave LSU the 7,000 and basically told LSU to shove it. So, ever since, I have been waiting for LSU to stick it back up their butts. Good for Joe.

They're just the popular team. Makes people feel good to rebel against the establishment, LSU for LA residents. There are plenty of LSU fans in Bama. If we won 3 titles in 4 years I'm sure we'd have a huge bandwagon.

Jesus Ezekial Christ.

It isn't like CNN called a planned world-wide universally-televised press conference at the United Nations Headquarters with flashing lights and hundreds of media to ask Alleva what he thought of the new visiting section of the SEZ Upper.

This was a an off-the-cuff remark said strictly in jest, meant to get laughs, and done at a private LSU Tiger Tour sports banquet in front of LSU fans and alumni, period.

If the Skoal Drool Detergent Head Things actually took this seriously, then they are even more stupid than I thought.

Truth be told, for DECADES, AAAAALLLLLLL visiting teams (not just MFing alashama) have been given a huge area of prime seats in the SE corner, the SEZ, and even the East sidelines for games.

It's about time we treat others like we have been treated at SEC venues.

Very few Bama fans make the trip to Baton Rouge. Most live in fear of Death Valley.

frick Bama.

Most cool to see/hear our AD turn into a Tiger!

Exactly what I thought. We spend a fortune on the expansion only for our AD to say the seat views are awful. Well done.

I realize the OP put Bama in the thread, but the Rant's obsession with Bama borders on the psychotic.

Hey, I've got an idea - how about we actually beat them on the field more instead of just bitching about how much we hate them.

I didn't start this thread. I merely replied.
I am obsessed with everything LSU - my alma mater, and the Saints, not that other team you mentioned.
I've had a distaste for bama for many years, not just 'since 2008.' How in holy hell is that an 'obsession'?
How exactly is 'bitching about how we hate them' going to magically translate into victories on the field? Fans don't get scholarships and suit up.

As I mentioned in the third sentence in my post a few above this one - this was a JOKE, not an 'advertisement', and it was said at a private LSU event, not live worldwide centerstage at the U.N. on Fox News or CNN.
