Damn. I heard the same name. We're screwed. He was def under the radar. But it may explain why the refs ignored him...didn't want to let him know how close they were...

So was Bob Broadhead. He hired Arnsparger. IMO, Arnsparger and Saban are the two best that I have seen at LSU.

Yeah. Only a three-year probation imposed since he's been there. That's clean by Alabama standards.

I'm not claiming to be an insider, but I'm 100% sure this is true based on two conversations I've had this year with people who would likely know. The question for me has been how many players were involved.

As for Alleva trying to get rid of Miles, I believe he would like to get rid of him ASAP, but I don't think he's going to push to have it done this season. I'm positive that he will be gone after 2010 unless he wins the SEC.

This is an internal investigation, not an NCAA investigation. It could be secondary in nature. Lets wait and see how it plays out before we all go nuts.

Well well well , the "Used Car Salesman" finally gets caught with his hands in the cookie jar!Doesn't matter how "Minor" the infraction is, McCarthy needs to go anyway. I've been calling him (And his type) the "Used Car Salesmen" on here for years. Good recruiter and BS artist that can't technically coach worth a shite. Our WR's are ultra slow in developing and doing ALL the things that receivers need to do on a consistant basis. When it happens year after year, it's coaching. Now, just don't go out and hire another carbon copy of McCarthy because he can recruit. Hire a coach that recruit AND coach these guys up........

My understanding is that when Les found out something was rotten in Denmark with McCarthy/Benton he did report it to Alleva. He was told to fire DJ immediately and Les did not. That is where the friction is with Les and Alleva

What happened with McCarthy and Benton? I've seen it mentioned here several times before and know about an email that was sent explaining it, but have not heard what actually happened.

I don't necassarily disagree with you as to him not getting the axe this year but, if Alleva "want's to get rid of him" this would be a good opportunity. May not would have to pay the "buy-out" to Miles this year. If he bases it off of performance next year, then we would be obligated to pay the "buy-out". Could save us a whole lot of money if this is in fact the case...
