I think we're getting a 2-for-1

Terrible game. Is that just a one off or is that Sam vs a better defense ? There's a reason Sorsby was first choice. Sam had a lot of bad panic throws vs MSU. It will be interesting to see what Kiffin does with him and how much he protects him with the running game.
I won't be surprised to see Longstreet get playing time early in the season.

He had some clean pockets and open receivers. He missed on some throws that should be layups for a QB of his tenure.
His first half performance was brutal.
He showed he can be elusive in the pocket and extend plays, which is good. I just don't feel like I've seen much of what he is without Skateboo.
Regardless, Kiffin and Weis should improve this, by scheme if nothing else. Otherwise, I still feel pretty good about Longstreet (Chambliss 2.0).

Yes. Hopefully we do. The only real hesitation I have about Leavitt is the level of competition he faced, and the fact that he had Skattebo & Tyson for the majority of those games. However, I feel like we certainly will have skill position players as capable as them, even though we don't know who will emerge yet. I have faith though that Kiffin knows more than I do about identifying talent and we will have at the very least comp to Nuss from two seasons ago. If that's his floor I still think we can be a playoff team.

Moo State is a tough place to play and I think he was injured in that game. But I mean even if it turns out he’s not an SEC caliber QB, we still have Husan and the baw from VA. Those guys can play.

Our WR's come down with a lot of those toss ups.

Outside of Tyson, he didn’t have much. But he made some really bad reads and throws. I’m going to really enjoy having a mobile QB again tho. He’s going to make some plays we haven’t seen from our offense in the last two years.

Kiffin molded Jaxson Dart into a top tier QB.

It was a putrid game but I’m so ready for football I’ll watch anything.
The thing that infuriates me is how is it legal for Miss St able to use those cowbells it still baffles me.

I mean he was definitely a gamer against a good defense in that Texas game, but he’s going to have to be better.
His stat line against UT:
24/46 (52%)
0 TD / 1 INT
13 rushes for 60 yards 0 TD

I’m usually a purple and gold glasses sunshine pumper but I’ve been burned too many times. Sam has some talent, especially running the ball. But I’m not getting my hopes up that this dude is going to be great with an SEC schedule. Maybe Kiffin can make him better.
I’m expecting average and will be pleasantly surprised with anything more.

Ouch! That was some of the worst qbing I have seen in a while. He has to be way better than what he showed against the powerhouse MSU team for LSU to win anything. That was pitiful. Come on Lane, do your magic quickly!

Its okay Sam...
Actually, shouldnt you be out there leading player practices instead of posting in TD?
