Why can't people call the stadium ALEX box, why do they refer to it as Alec Box. This drove me nuts with the anouncers tonight.

It is because ESPN hates LSU!!
Alec is the correct punctuation.

I thought the same thing. It sounded like Alec Bach to me. He said it around the 7th right when they were showing a picture of the sign.

That's all fine and well.. but how can they just say his name is alex.. but we are going to pronounce it alec...

I think you can call it either way... i think his mom called him alec, but his friends called him Alex, so i think both are correct
but what is not correct is bach, that is pronounced as it looks BOX

Whatever the stadium is called, it will NEVER be ready to host a regional or super regional.
