considering the elite status of baseball and the upgrades we've done to tiger stadium, dump may be harsh but being middle of the packish for our status is pretty much a boring dump.

Alex Box is a pretty damn good stadium. But some of act like Alex Box should mirror the ATL Braves and be surrounded by the battery.

Bro, everyone else is way behind LSU in baseball. The box was opened in 2009, be serious here. Improvements needed, sure, but that stadium looks incredible, especially with that intimidator needing frequent updating.

basketball doesn't need a new arena. there's nothing wrong with the one there now.

The problem is, I don't know that you can "update" it. You likely have to rebuild it. I love the outside and surrounding area. The interior is an absolute piece of shite.
It's 50+ years old and hasn't been updated in 20+ years. The "club" is a disgrace. There is barely any premium seating. It's a dump.

I made it to opening day yesterday. Perfect day for baseball. These recent threads on Alex Box crossed my mind. Looking around, yes we could stand an upgrade here and there. Extending the suites and roof down either or both foul lines would generate revenue AND provide much needed shade down the lines. The outfield bleachers are tiny compared to several SEC stadiums. So there’s that.

LSU baseball operates as one of the most profitable and high-revenue programs in the nation like it is. They are focusing on winning with the talent and coaching in place which has been working and fans love the it! Winning is awesome!

The same people bitching about the Box needing renovations probably bitch that Tiger Stadium has largely become a corporate event and priced out real fans. Be careful what you wish for. Season tickets are cheap AF for baseball.
Making Alex Box the nicest stadium in the SEC would necessitate price increases, which would push certain people out of attending games, forever changing the atmosphere of LSU baseball.
