Just watched an entire segment or two on Finebaum (had to see the melt today).

Long story short - the word is Nick Saban is looking to make some major changes on the defensive side of the ball.

14-1 - still making changes. Not excuses.

Saban is ruthless, he cares about nothing but winning. Freinds dont win games. I wish out coach was like that...

Things winners do.

Anyway, we should keep E on as OC because we could've been worse.

Saban didn't seem to care that much last night. Didn't see his typical fire, especially when there were so many breakdowns in the secondary, his primary area of expertise. He seemed resigned to losing last night, especially in the second half. Maybe I'm reading too much into his sideline demeanor, just the way it looked to me.

Strangely enough, it was the defensive backfield that was the weak point of the defense...which is Saban's ball game.

And we sure as hell could've done better. E would have been and OC if he was oc material...

Constantly changing coaches doesn’t always bring success. I think Clemson proved last night tht continuity in a staff can have a lasting impact.

I’m not saying staff continuity is everything but it definitely helps. If you clear house constantly you’re gonna have chaos.

Then again he’ll likely just keep winning.

He looked like he was already onto next season.

These coaches and players failed him.

.Orgeron could learn a thing or two from this. There are a few areas on LSU that need upgrading. OL coach, OC etc... LSU could learn a thing or two from Saban

He made wholesale changes after last season. It's his MO.

What is sho king is that they had to depend on a true freshman and an LSU reject to play at cb last night. It’s not that they aren’t recruiting well.

Not meaning to bash E...but he didn't want the job, wasn't an OC when we hired him, was already our TE coach dating back to Miles, and we never looked for anyone else.

And this is all after we wasted a year on Canada. Canada could've been great - he was still gone, because O wanted more control on the offense, and he couldn't get along with the guy.

Bama is going to hire the best coaches available. LSU is not and does not do this.

I thought the friend vs. accountable was one of Les' issues that caught up with him.

I fear it is an issue with Orgeron. In fact, I'm strongly leaning that way but willing to wait and see if the net results turn out way different.

ETA: don't forget, Saban is the DB coach. If the 'wholesale changes' include him retiring, let's fricking do this!

Must be nice to be that committed to championship level success.

Gah, how I envy such detail.

Bama has a tremendous QB who had an OC as his QB coach.. and LSU didn't even have a QB coach..

Now they are looking to make defensive coaching changes.. Incredible.

Their administration wants it more than ours does, and their coaches are more intelligent than our coaches.

It sucks, because LSU fans want it just as much, if not more, than bama fans (the good LSU fans, at least). And we're obviously far more intelligent than bama fans are...they rank among the lowest globally for any fanbase or organized group of people, inbred or normal.

You have success with both sides of it.

The point is that he is committed to excellence. High standards.

Both these programs only lose like 1 game a season.. They have no reason to make a change. Clemson doesn't have a reason to make a change.

LSU can't even score a point on this D and they are now looking to "correct things."

You'd think LSU would be looking to correct this.. but it's as if we just take our Alabama shutouts and be content to the fact we will never compete against them.

a 14-1 school that has beaten us 8 times in a row, is doing something that many lsu fans thinks needs to be done, while we have people sitting here making excuses not to do it, and you think it belongs on the SEC board?
