This game just shows LSU has no excuse to be as bad as they have been. The SEC is not that good and they almost beat top ten K State.

Game summary:

Effort was positive for whole game.

Fountain had a great game. Valuable asset for future.

McMahon is still in WAY over his head.

For a team with nothing but shitty shooters, still a great effort.
I'll take this, bama is just a much better team.
Hill, J Williams and Miller stink and KJ didn't play well.
Still gave it a run.
Much better effort.
Fountain was a man.

Nice to see Fountain have a good game

He’s been a guy who plays hard every game in this difficult run

Apparently that -11.5 line was a thing.

Wow…such bad basketball on offense. Good effort on D but my goodness the ball movement on offense is atrocious

I just don’t get it. I joke about the X’s and O’s thing but is it really that hard to run something to get consistent good looks? They run a decent set maybe 10% of the time. It’s awful.

Yea LSU actually played a credible game today, and covered. There were some good things out of the game, Fountain in particular, but we have to shoot better than 30%, and defend the three better than 50%, to win games.

Today may have marked a turning point in basketball fortunes

This is how Fountain needs to attack.
If only this team could make a few of the open shots they get.
And we have 3 Gaurds who can't throw it in the ocean.

When you have guards that should be role players at best playing in crunch time you get this. Suspect shooting and not great taking someone to the goal; no amount of Xs and Os is gonna fix that.

Adam Miller needs to sit. He doesn’t offer anything to this team. Can’t shoot, can’t dribble, and certainly can’t finish.

I still appreciate how hard they played. If only we played as smart.
And I stick by the fact that I've never seen as many guards as we have that really can't shoot. I mean wide open set your feet, Bricks.

If they could just make the layups. I lost count of how many they missed this game

Well, the fact that this game was still in doubt for Bama with under 3 minutes was shocking. LSU still can't shoot worth a shite, but they only had 6 turnovers, they destroyed Bama on the offensive glass, doubled the amount of steals and blocks Bama had and pretty much doubled them up on free throws. It was a breath of fresh air to see them play aggressive for once and not SOFT.

Fountain has had two games in a row where he has played aggressive and he made a huge difference today in making this an actual competitive game the whole way. That and the above mentioned stats were all progress. I just wish our shooting wasn't so awful. Regardless, it was a good game.

You're fine man. I expected us to get blown out. We did some good things.

But, since it's been so bad and I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, I would have preferred to win this.

In no way were we winning this game unless we make some shots. And we don't make shots.
