Can they please just go back to the Big 12 now? And take Missouri with them? They are both so pathetically incongruent with the culture of the SEC. Neither school adds anything of value to the collective apart from their TV markets.

If you bring your cat to a doggie daycare, that don’t make it a dog.

We’d be better off kicking them out and letting Tulane and Georgia Tech back in.

This was literally our last coach.

Every 10 or so years, the SEC will make sure we beat them. Might take 20 overtimes and 25 bad calls, but we will beat them. Then they will be pissed and kill us the following year and play for a national championship.
Nailed it.

What idiot program would look at the SEC circa 2003-2011 and say , "hey, we should go play in that conference. Yep, we'll take the West division". Surely they could've seen this coming, but I think they got a false sense of hope via Johnny manziel years.

It was not about winning, it was solely the lure of being in the SEC...and money obviously.

Wait. Why does that record sound familiar?

Interesting thread with some thoughtful posts and the usual delusional Aggie posts. This one gave me a chuckle.

Thing is we might lose a step next year on offense but our Defense will be loaded with the incoming class. Pick your poison next year aggie.

$ 7.5 MM just does not buy what it used to.

They left the Big 12 for more money and because the Big 12 is tiered with Texas and Oklahoma get the most money and run the conference basically.

In the SEC it is only perception that Bama runs the conference. In the Big 12 it is written in the by laws that Texas and Oklahoma are more important than every other school.

Crazy how the other schools allowed that to happen along with the LHN

One of my favorite comments

You mean like Jimbo? At least, that is what people here were saying about him.

Does this mean they've already quit on Jimbo?

He's still recruiting very well, but Jimbo is supposed to be this QB whisperer (even if that whispering must be fast AF) and he's yet to pop one out since Winston as HC.

SO, I'm going to say that peak Jimbo is in our rearview mirror. But, aTm is stuck either with him or a HUGE buyout.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch.

I was surprised that some of the Ags did make logical assessments like the one you quoted.

They hired Jimbo on the way down. They did not get what they thought they were getting. This one is on Woody

Aggie's only hope of competing with LSU, or anyone else in the SEC for that matter, is if they drop down and join the AAC and somehow the AAC changes their name to the SEC. Yeah, they can win the AAC, or at least compete in the AAC. I think SMU would kick their litte arses.
