Maybe if they didn't put a fricking shortstop in centerfield he wouldn't have had such a bad first day

Cruz played OF all of last season too. It’s not like they just threw him out there lol

Pittsburgh needs to Lock Him Up to a Huge Long Term, he could definitely bring back "We Are Family"

I don't want him to stay in Pittsburg. He needs to come on down to the Rangers. Seriously though, I hope he gets on a good team.

And, he hasn't walked a batter in a month (April 13)

I think he should retire and become LSU’s pitching coach

Been a Pirate fan since the mid 1950s. Stuck with them through thick and thin, mostly thin.

Finally at the end of my time on this earth we get Paul and restore a bit of dignity to the franchise. And I’m hoping this Griffin boy who almost went to LSU turns into a superstar as well.

I'm a Cubs fan and I still root for Skenes against the Cubs.

Back-to-back 8 innings of 3 hits or less is extremely impressive. He’s a unicorn.

If not for his opening start, Skenes would be entering Bob Gibson 1968 territory in terms of ERA. In this day & age though, he would never touch the 28 complete games & 13 shutouts Gibson had in that MVP & Cy Young season.

Pittsburgh honestly has built a nice young team now and they're not bad this year. They're in a tough division but they're 24-19 so far this year. Through 43 games last year, they were 14-29

Its is insane and truly impressive. I hope his continued effortless delivery keeps him healthy and productive for a LONG career.

Hasn't walked a batter in a month. Wow

Now consider he is still 32.3 innings behind Greg Maddux' record and if not for intentional walks, Maddux would have been well over 80 innings
