After several days... maybe the problem isn't all House

Yes, he has not handled Perkins well...
No.... LSU doesn't seem to play with much aggressiveness...and yes, that can be due to Coaching
Yes, tackling is terrible and he can improve that.
But... last year, across the year, defense got a little better. They didn't play bad against
Bama....
Putting anger and emotion aside... they don't have much talent. If Saban had this bunch, he could probably improve the tackling but not sure he could do much more. The secondary has been weak all year yet this past Saturday, in the biggest game of the year, LSU puts a couple of freshmen on the field because that's all they have.

We are really bad, and he has no answers.
obviously the talent could be better
obviously the execution could be better
but also, the coaching, play calling, game planning could be better.
Someone needs to be fired for starting Ovie every game.

The guy made zero adjustments at half time.
Any good to elite DC is going to be good at making adjustments.
I've seen enough over these two years to know he isn't the guy.
His scheme sucks. He never gets guys into good match ups.
Have you ever seen perkins run free up the middle on a blitz?

Whats the difference between this year and last year? The DBs and Senior Leadership of Baskerville, Jay Ward, and Gaye. So basically the success they had last year was more due to the players not his Coaching ability. Meaning if he has the right players then his defense can be successful but if not he cannot scheme a defense to fit their talent and put them in a better position to be successful.
Meaning that is 100% Coaching and on House. Case closed, end of story.

LSU regularly got Bama into 3rd and 5+ yardage situations. They were talented enough to do their jobs on the first two downs, but consistently failed on 3rd and longs. That's coaching. You know what you were doing, saw how they were beating it, and never adjusted. That's coaching.
There is no doubt that there is personnel issues on the defensive side that will prevent this defense from being great. But combine that with a failing coach, and it's the disaster we see. House can not be the DC of this team next year. Bottom line.

He sucks. He makes no adjustments and just allows the same plays to beat the defense over and over again, especially in the Ole Miss and Bama games. He has Perkins playing 20 yards down the field. Get this fraud out of here asap once the season ends. Or today would be good too.

The fact that you prefaced his defense with the reasons why he is awful is the worst defense ever. Hope you aren’t a lawyer.

Yer not jes' woofin'. Most of these plays should have been over well short of a first down; instead they end up in the secondary or even the endzone!

The only series Alabama dropped back to pass on 3rd and 5* was the first one. Milroe can’t complete a 15 yard drop back pass. He was sacked. After that, clearly the instruction from Rees to Milroe was run on 3rd and 5+. House never adjusted. He still thought Milroe was Tom Brady.

The team plays soft like they've already given up. Has House lost the defense are or our guys just that bad? Kelly's watching the defense but I'd bet he's watching House and his gang.

how many times did you see HOUSE load the box and force milhoe to throw?
how many times did you see blitzing(zone or man) that forced milhoe to make a quick hot read and throw OR audible to a screen or dtraw?
