After Mainieri does leave, what will he be most remembered for?

He does have an impressive resume’ at LSU. Hopefully he strings a couple of good seasons together before he exits. Would like to see his career at LSU end on a high note.

Really depends how it ends. If its with a title within a couple years of his retirement, it will be fondly, if its another season of this and fired, then probably similarly to miles

Running us out of innings and directly responsible for the most epic shite the bed moments in super regional/CWS due to his coaching decisions. Basically, losing the game from his decisions and then throwing his players under the bus instead of acknowledging his own frick ups.

Seriously. NVM his teams lack fundamental baseball concepts you learn as a kid like bunting or baserunning...the shite above really irks me under him. You could argue a few of LSU losses under him are some hall of shame moments that might've actually set a record? When they happen it's usually directly on his shoulders for a series of the absolute wtf was he thinking moves. Not 1 or 2 but a series of them. You know what I'm talking about a PM game from beginning to end where he just continues to make the dumbest decisions and game they easily should've won they lose.

See Houston several years back. Jesus does that one ever stick out in my mind.

I'll remember him for saying he took the 2010 season off.

I realize it was just a year after winning the CWS but I would have fired him on the spot.

No player development, worst bullpen manager I’ve ever seen, throwing players under the bus, sweet lips.

He’ll be remembered for being here a long time and draining the baseball culture of its enthusiasm.

Yeah, even if it’s true, you don’t ever cop to it. It’s a bad look.
