You all are absolutely brilliant. The creativity shown here is beyond words. And you are some funny folks. Thank you all so much.

I do want to shout out to AarondeTiger, who worked tirelessly and quickly to come up with the images we need. I don't mean to take away from all the others who showed so much creativity.

Birmingham Campaign

We have submitted new art.

There was a glitch at Lamar that will require us to resize. Aaron, I sent you an email on it. Should be up tomorrow.

We have have enough money already, so I am locking the GoFundMe. If you want to give, save it for later.


Operation Purple Sky, Oxford Edition

We have reserved the 8-11 slot for Gameday to run the aerial banner.

This may be a good move for other reasons. Rumor is that Trump is coming. If so, the TFR (temporary flight restricition) may go into place early.

Right now the Committee is going with a text banner that says "DADDY'S BACK! GEAUX TIGERS!

There have been many views on this, but that seems to be the closest to consensus choice for the banner.

I note that the Alabama folks at Lamar and the digital media people in Oxford have been absolutely busting a gut laughing at this particular one.

Digital Blast in Oxford

No one has digital billboards in Oxford with availability.

But I have found a vendor who can put us on 85 small screens in Oxford (bars, restaurants, gas stations). This will only cost us $425.

The plan now is to do "Daddy's Back! Geaux Tigers!" I think we are going to add a disclaimer that says "*eligibility may vary by State." I have mockups coming. They will display like GIFS on the digital boards, and I think they are very, very good.

That will go live on Wednesday. We have already paid for it. The provider is preparing art, and I will share that when I have it.

I thought about doubling up with another image, but I am out of time to do it. Sorry. Maybe next year. Or next game!
