So we should be worried that the defense that shut down the best running backs in the country will suddenly forget how to play?

LSU is allowing only 3.8 YPC (42nd), 132 YPG (43rd). It does make A&M better but you are correct that we did reasonably well against several backs with better YPC than Achane. Only Gibbs did not fall short of his YPC average for the season.

NCAA Rank - name - team - YPC for the year- ypc vs LSU

3. Trey Benson - Florida St. - 7.06 for the year - 2.5 vs LSU

6 DeWayne McBride - UAB - 6.64 for the year - 2.6 vs LSU

8 Raheim Sanders - Arkansas - 6.6 for the year - 3.8 vs LSU

12 Jahmyr Gibbs - Alabama - 6.5 for the year - 6.6 vs LSU

21 Quinshon Judkins - Ole Miss - 6.05 for the year - 4.4 vs LSU

24 Jermaine Brown Jr. - UAB - 5.94 for the year - 4.0 vs LSU

29 Montrell Johnson Jr. - Florida - 5.84 for the year - 4.4 vs LSU

40 Devon Achane - Texas A&M - 5.61 for the year - vs LSU

Edited to delete a brain fort on my part.

Uh oh. That’s LSU’s Achilles heel all season.

The catastrophe syndrome on this board is actually comical. Never forget that the Rant was melting all throughout the 2019 season and whining about how our defense was gonna cause us to lose games. Literally the greatest season in CFB history and the Rant was still in meltdown mode.

If you read the article they use words like “expected to be back” and “hopeful” … Stewart and Achane may or may not be in the lineup.

Achane won't risk aggravating his injuries with his NFL career about to start

He'll take 1 or 2 to the house on kickoffs with our shitty ST unit and might be the game we can finally say bye to nepotism fat boy Pollian.

Lmao man, talk about desperate. This dude is a baller though for coming out even with nothing to look forward to, in terms of a bowl game or what not. He needs to come with Matthews.

Don’t think anyone would argue with that decision. Not like one win will salvage a 4/7 season.

This is not a good matchup for us and honestly I don’t feel good about this game for some reason.

Their O vs the LSU D is about as good a matchup as you could hope for. They also struggle vs the run.

Not sure what you're seeing.

As long as there are refs, you should never feel good about a game.

They scored 20 points against 1-10 UMass. That's the fewest amount of points UMass has given up in a loss all season.

a$m has scored 24 or less points in 7 of the games that Achane played

A&M is 3-6 when he plays…

They’re a bad fricking team.
