Your guide to Morgantown!
Get out your musket and your coonskin cap. Morgantown is probably about 100 on my list of 99 places I want to go. Of course, if the Tigers are playing there that's a reason, but otherwise

Brandon,

A very nice postiive summation on the Morgantown area....

I'd like to hear your take on these matters that you can highlight for LSU fans:

RV parking and the overall parking siutation, I visited the stadium area a year or so ago and was appaled by the lack of stadium parking, particularly considering that y'all share a parking lot with a hospital....LSU fans like to travel in large numbers by RV....where is someplace close to the stadium they can park beginning on Thursday or Friday night....

Your people mover system, how many people use it on gameday? Can it move a very large number of people in a relatively short period...

Availibility of adult beverages....there is only one bar within a mile of the stadium...i've remarked in the past that it's easier to buy a .50 caliber machine gun than a beer within a mile around the stadium...y'all don't know what is heading your way as far as alcohol consumption is concerned, ask the people in Knoxville about that....

The parking lot at the Coliseum should be open to RVs on Friday night.

To be on the safe side, I would say BYOB. Of course any Mountaineer fan is going to offer you one if you want to stop by a tailgate for a good time. There have also been rumors about the possibility of beer being sold in the stadium in the near future. Not sure how far of a long shot that is, but we can all pray for it!

I would say 15-20% of the people who attend the games get there using the PRT. Some people like to park downtown and then ride to the stadium. From the PRT station closest to stadium it's still a short walk to get there. The blue square is where the PRT station is and I've marked the sections where LSU fans will be in red.

I just wanted to thank you wvubrandon for the wealth of info here.

My parents are both WVU grads from Point Marion, Pa. - My early years were spent in NY, RI and DC watching Major Harris, Renaldo Turnbull and JoPa copping out.

THEN (thankfully) my dad was stationed in New Orleans. At the age of 9 I discovered SEC football - been bleeding purple ever since.

My cousins have invited me up to the game and I will likely be sitting in "enemy territory" - although I can't think of any 2 fan bases, who, at their core, are any more similar than LSU and WVU. Should be an interesting clash.

FWIW - I actually earned my degrees at another purple school - TCU. Can't wait 'til 2012 (football and baseball more so than basketball)!

Where the hell is SCH for this thread?

im here just got done for the day, he is missing some key things like the good bars to chase coeds and that keep the beer going all night on or right off high street.

Bent Willeys is big as shite with different rooms with different music from hip hop dance floor, 80's room to house, and a nice deck that over looks morgantown at night

De Lazy Lizard good bar always with live music on the weekends

The Sports page awesome sports bar on high street kinda of small but great atmosphere esp during games, i was a regular there for 5 years. Friday happy hour is legendary.

Chic n Bones great food and happy hour, more of the 25+ crowd at night always with great live music

How do you get a parking pass for the Blue Lot?

If this is impossible, where do we setup to tailgate?
