They're in the top 4 teams of the country right now. I'd say they're pretty good.

So would I but I would not say they are dominant.

Or got caught helping players cheat on test and have 2 years of wins vacated.

Would Lanning at Oregon be considered dominant?

know this will be a hot take but I think that the 2022 win vs Bama had less to do with BK and more to do with having a superstar QB who was able to cover up for our deficiencies and single-handedly carry our team to victory

Who recruited Jayden Daniels?

things have definitely been “up and down” since BK took the job at LSU.
But I think a lot of factors go into the “downs”.
-Obviously BK took over a depleted program. We all knew it was going to be a re-build process.
-Since BK took the job, the sport of college football has been under a state of constant change due to NIL, transfer portal, the collective, conference structural changes, in-game rules, etc.
-some questionable coaching hires made by BK that did not turn out
-some highly rated recruits and transfers that were complete flops that never fulfilled their projected potential
-the unusual lack or inability of players stepping up as team leaders until the later part of this season resulting in poor team chemistry, lack of brotherly accountability and inconsistency on the field

Some of these things were out of BK’s control and all he could do was roll with the punches, while some were certainly his fault.

But what I have noticed, is that BK has “stood in the pocket”, took his blows and adapted to the new style of fighting, that is college football coaching.

Not only has he seemed to have figured out the NIL, but he’s led by example in putting his money where his mouth is to create financial advantage.
He has done his best to correct his poor coaching hires from the past.
And his team has certainly developed leadership among the players (we all saw how the team responded to Whit Weeks injury).

I have not given up my support for BK just yet, because he continues to fight. Not only does he continue to fight, but he does so while maintaining his integrity and dignity. And surely the players see that.
As we all know, teams/crews of men almost always take on the personality of their leader.

From my perspective, there is still plenty of reason to be optimistic about the future of LSU football under BK.

better safety play.

Oh, look. Someone who knows ball.
We were good safety play away from having a pretty stout defense. A lot of people don’t understand how much safeties matter.

miles gave us spectacular finishes also against bama. some wins. some losses

All losses once Bama got it going. You didn’t list 2011, which was his best win against Saban. After that it was shite; we either lost close or were blown out.

As someone who has been rough on BK for his results.. I will say, one of the reasons he came here was to get a piece of Nick Saban. He managed to do that and gave us one of the most spectacular finishes against Bama. It takes something special to beat Bama like that. Maybe 2025 is the year
Cool. That was what 1 of the 4 games he’s won at LSU worth talking about in a 3 year period.

LSU did not pay 10 million a year just to beat Saban. Everyone including LSU knew he was about to retire. That's ridiculous. They paid him 10 million a year to win championships at LSU.

We need to stop referring to our 'offense' in 2023 as being anything other than an unreal performance by one player.
