But for me, the biggest questionable decision was starting Dutton.

Well yeah, but that was felt like 24 hours ago. But i agree, dutton just doesnt have it against a good lineup

Got the worst available arm out of the way early with minimal damage.

I liked the move. Most coaches wait one batter too long. Jump getting us 3 outs to win- we were where we needed to be to put it away- just wasn't our night.

We held UNC to 3 runs on 7 hits (through 9 innings) in our 5th game of the regional. If you told me this a week ago I’d say we were going to Omaha.

Dutton started the game because he throws strikes. Jay probably was hoping he could sneak Dutton out there for one trip through the lineup early in the game before UNC settled in.
Dutton actually didn’t pitch bad. UNC hit two jam shots that found grass.

We knew going into this game we had to get hits. We didn’t the top of the lineup didn’t produce. Frankly, I think our pitchers gave what they had.

Dude just threw 100 pitches and isn’t a reliever. Give me Guidry or leave Ack in there. Rode both of those guys last year no reason to use jump when the pen had that shite locked down since yesterday.
