I’m over the metldown last night

Between Southern Cal, Carolina, Ole Miss, and Texas AM, we played 2-2 ball and that’s what we are. We’re a good team with flaws. We have some excellent players, but not enough. We do something extremely well and we’re very deficient at other things.

Everything is still in front of this team though. 4 very winnable games left, 3 at home. We should be a favorite in all 4. 7-1 in the sec should get you in the sec title game and if not, 10-2 overall and 7-1 in conference should get you in the playoff. It’s a new system, so any definite proclamation about what will and won’t get you in is silly.

Last night sucked bad. There’s a difference between bad games, bad teams, and bad programs. Last night was a bad game. I believe we’re a pretty good team. I’m very hopeful of the direction of the program.

Agree.

First half LSU looked like NC contender.

Second half looked like first game of season lost.

The true team is somewhere in the middle.

We can’t run the ball. And refuse to dominate when in position to do so. It’s frustrating but whatever.

NC contenders don’t play only 1 half

I didn’t wake up sky screaming this morning just for this reason.
It’s a new system & the season isn’t over.

We could VERY well be in the cheese it bowl or whatever, but if this team plays like they did against ARK, we can literally beat anyone.

We gave them this game in the 2nd half.
We LOST it, aTm didn’t win it.
That’s why I think we still have a shot.. albeit not super likely.

I have faith baker will have his D ready.

The problem with winning the remainder of our games which includes beating a down but talented Bama team is Nuss is clearly shook. Bama is going to turn him over all day at this point.

We also don’t have good special teams at all so they either will do nothing or hurt us badly.

The program outlook is better since we have a real D staff and our recruiting looks much better. I do worry our offensive staff might be a problem.

I just wish LSU could find 2 decent safeties like the old days..what we have back there and on the bench is pretty putrid for a major college team like LSU..

Good coaches figure out a way. It's not lack of talent on line or RB

We will. Safety play is a thousand times better than last year and we have some talented dudes coming up.

Because Weigman was terrible & their WRs/RBs dropped like 4 passes

The team’s inability to run the ball is the biggest issue.

The Oline is absolutely terrible. They’re terrible. I don’t care the sack numbers going into the game.

Nuss is overrated and was truly awful last night, but he would be much better if there was any run game.

The D is bad too, but that’s always a Kelly problem at LSU.

Kelly is a fraud who has never won anything, so this is the program until he’s gone.

Nothing would make me happier than somehow making the playoffs and getting another shot at aTm. We won’t make the SECc and we will have to beg our way into the playoffs but it’s possible.

This is what pisses me off.

We have a team more than capable of making the playoff.

We had a team last year more than capable of making a final four.

There is one thing consistently holding it back, and it gets paid 10M a year to do it.

This is what BK is. Get used to it.

Even when he gets his dream "mobile QB", he will piss it away with incompetant game plans and special teams.

Absolute fraud.

I appreciate the optimism. Im not there yet.
We wont beat Bama and Milroa and a good defense.
OC playcalling: predictable, no variation or wrinkles to make the def guess
Def: they better learn to
defend RPO before Bama.

Nuss: has to develop get rid of the ball and take the che k downs instead waiting for the deep routes to finish, scramble and force a deep route.
So many times i saw shorter routes come out the breaks open and he was waiting to hit the 20 yard route.
So frustrating.

But you know we aren’t going to win the next 4, 2/2 at best but 1/3 more than likely.

I don’t think 1-3 is likely at all.

Yes, we bought into the hype but we all pretty much knew we would be an 8-9 win team this year. That’s why Vegas had the line set at 9 wins before the season started.
