That one runback they show, 10-3 LSU Ark game at the time. Looks like the Arky guy would have the angle on the average fast guy. But not Trindon, just flat outruns. That guy was great.

??LSU Trindon Holliday Special Teams TDs-Verne Lundquist & Jim Hawthorn Calls??

I assume this is the right board, move if needed. This got me pumped up and just wanted to share it.

Let’s talk about why we never lined him up at DE.

One of Les’ greatest failures.

He rarely seemed to be running max effort once he got some separation his 3rd gear was still that much faster than everyone else on the field.

man he was so much fun to watch. Could you imagine what we could have done with him in a better offense.

Or maybe why we never hardly put him in the slot and isolated him on a linebacker and throwing the ball to him when he was in stride.

Great find. One thing I notice in the 1st return is how the bench went crazy when it became obvious he was gone. I'm always somewhat surprised at how unanimated the bench is for big plays these days.

Unstoppable as a DE on those NCAA games

I had a class with him one time. Teacher passed back our tests from the day before and he was sitting next to me. He made a 35/100. Jarrett Lee laughed at him and Trindon replied...'My legs gonst makes me my moneys"

Really one of my favorite Verne and Gary moments. “This is over.”

“It’s over! This is over...”

TH was at our own 30 yard line

Exact same thought I had when I saw the thread title. Trindon was at his own 37 yard line when they said this is over. I doubt it has ever been said again from that point on the field.

When you make fast guys look slow, you know you are really fast.

Remember that Penn St bowl game in Orlando on the crappy field? He ran a couple of times, and the field didn’t seem to bother him as much as the others. With his short quick steps, he could still cut somewhat. I remember thinking during the game that we should make him the primary running back. Would’ve been a different outcome.
