I didn't think Harris played that poorly against Wisconsin. The last INT was awful, but the rest was...ok.

Not....Harris so far has been the reincarnation of Jordan Jefferson....we've seen this before.

Exactly. That's why I didn't hate Etling taking a chance on that end zone throw to Malachi. He's what, 6'4" and a 5-star talent? You're supposed to out jump opponents, and make those catches. Etling took a shot and had faith in his receiver.

Anyone who faults Etling for that doesnt understand football. Dupree is a bust. Sadly, we lost Johnson and everyone shite on him for leaving. But he probably knew he would never see the field as long as dupree kept seeing snaps.

amazing what a few drops and what the Wisconsin coaching staff can do to a players rep.

He has been awful this year. He absolutely deserves the criticism.

1. Jump ball to Dupre that was intercepted - was under thrown but Dupre didn't get position and made no effort to contest it.

On this pass his right tackle got beat like a drum he stepped up in the pocket avoided the pressure kept his eyes up field and tried to make a play to a wide receiver that has shown zero fight this year.

no i have always though Dupre was soft since his drop issues. then he was even softer laster year while he cried about the offense all while quitting on plays. Id rather see a hungry Davis in at this point than Dupre continue to go out there and be unproductive.

I haven't seen enough of Etling to know either way

I know, as of right now, Harris is mentally wrecked, so while Etling may not be the great white hope that tRant wants him to be, he is the better option right now.

yes he has but I have faith he will start making plays. He is also a good blocker (yet everyone says he is soft) I guess people forget we are a running team

I think the edge for Etling is he keeps calm under pressure, he has better pocket awareness than Harris does. He also can read through his progressions better than Harris.

We have to call way too many one and two man routes because Harris can't handle going through progressions while worrying about our shitty oline.

We could always go to the auburn twister game of qb rotation and just throw everyone into the mix.

Let me explain why I think they are even:

I think our system is so damn bad, just about every Qb in the nation would look about the same. Our offense is the great neautralizer for qbs.

Yeah I hate to keep on with the Dupre bashing but I do think it's next man up. If that mean Dural and Chark, then Davis next up from that point. Dupre needs to sit, sorry. He plays lazy an with no effort.

he is soft as baby shite in the air, he doesn't fit back for a balls and he drops as many passes as any on the team.

that is nice that he can block but he is a wr so he should be able to catch as well.

I doubt he is going to start making plays with his boy benched.

he is 19-20 yrs old and I am sure feels like he made a bad decision coming to LSU...why good wrs come here is baffling

I feel like we've seen all this before. I'll put it this way, I wouldn't be surprised to see Etling benched very quickly for a couple mistakes before Bama.

IF, and it is indeed an if, history repeats itself Miles' stubbornness + ego will show itself and BH6 will be back starting.

Give one of these big arse freshmen a look in that "jump ball" role. Wouldn't mind seeing if Drake Davis or Dee could handle it.

I agree with this, Drake Davis and Jazz Ferguson are two big wide outs that would love the opportunity to go after a ball . Drake Davis is 6'3' and Jazz Ferguson is 6'5" let them have a shot and bench MD for a game and let him think about his butta fingers

Dural and Davis out wide with charknado in the slot is a good look. Then put Smith at tight end and it forces teams out of the box.

I think Buga/Guice would be damn near unstoppable if we could get them running out of shot gun with the field actually spread open.

He was still being touted as a 1st or 2nd round draft pick before this season.

The LSU offense isn't hurting his NFL chances. His play is what is killing his NFL chances right now.

Harris has the same problem. Which he CAN NOT have as the QB and leader! That's another huge factor in this QB debate now.

I vote for the more mature player - DE.

Ok i can give him that, Les probably lied to the kid and told him we would have a better offense.

However, LSU does have a pretty good history of putting out beast wrs considering Lafell, Bowe, OBJ, Landry as of lately.

Les and Cam though are QB and offense kilers

Where's he going to play dropping balls like that, though? He was in a run first scheme in high school. Maybe it masked his lack of hands?

if you just look at the stats on paper, I can see that argument. But if look at how the offenses have ran thus far under both, Etling over BH.

again...Etling is not the 2nd coming but to run the ball control offense Les loves so dearly, he's the guy that fits the mold better.
