50 million dollar question?

Why do all of the media people think we are the only school that is paying 50 mil for their roster? I assume there are quite a few others that are. A & M and Texas have to be. I guess they all hate Lane that much.

It’s really stupid and lazy. 1. No one outside of the program knows how much the roster is
2. It’s likely not the highest and there are at least 20 or so more teams either above the same or right below. 3. In our case we had guys we had to keep which would likely be cheaper but we also had a ton of transfers which would cost us more.
BK had fricked the program up so bad even with all we had we couldn’t plug all the holes with a massive roster and transfer portal. Lane came in to 0 qbs on roster, 1 wr and basically only a few oline with only one being even serviceable. The dline was also gutted, the only position we weren’t really in bad shape was DBs we had plenty of them.

Yea that’s overlooked a lot but Lane has been saying that all over. It’s much cheaper to keep guys than to have to go out and get so many.
We also were in a position where we had to over pay a few guys that we kept, mainly thinking Berry and Durham because we needed them but still had to go get other options. We needed a front line qb so had to pay up and there weren’t many great options at qb. One turned out to be gambling on games and we got the one coming off an injury.
