top 10 isn’t going to cut it. there’s a huge disparity between the bottom end and top end of the top 10 recruiting rankings

Recruiting isn’t worth following anymore, just check who signed after the fact.

Lmao this is basically all I do now. It's really all that's warranted nowadays.

Out of state WRs are not important to LSU

I used to say its better to count em once the sign on the dotted line but hell with NIL and transfer portal that dont matter either. These dudes are about as trustworthy as a hungry dog at a hot dog factory

It's fine, they're kids, and you can go and pay less to a proven portal guy honestly.

Absolute zero Fs given. I only concern myself with actual tiger players.

DBs I feel like are harder to find.

They didn’t use to be back when we were DBU, then suddenly they were. Of course, that was under the Otard.

Year over year, from Saban, to Miles, to Orgeron, we averaged about a #8 class.

Kelly's first couple classes were actually better.

Eventually y'all are gonna have to get over recruiting and figure it the frick out - it doesn't matter who you recruit out of high school; it only matters that you spend the money needed to build the right team at the right time.

Kinda like LSU did this past spring.

I can’t fault anyone for getting paid. NIL was a mistake.

Heupel’s offense is good-great in college, but it doesn’t prepare skill guys for the NFL, and we’re starting to see how far behind the 8-ball they are once they get there.

Like any of this matters anymore in the current NIL, and transfer portal era.

Whatever school gets them playing time to max out their pay each year, and social media views to make money from clicks and help up their value to get more from their current school or in the portal.

CFB isn't the same, and "heritage and traditions" from the former era is only a small part of it. Schools, including LSU, need to focus on becoming legit semi-pro teams if they care about being relevant in the new format. Like it sounds UT is doing by playing the apparel game they did.

I personally hope some solid schools decide to partner up, and get back to the way it was. Focus on players that want to be true student/athletes. One can dream

Commitments mean nothing. Until we receive Signed paperwork, it’s wide open. We don’t stop recruiting kids when they commit somewhere and welcome them when they flip to us. Just another example of how CFB has lost its way.

why recruit any freshman? seems like we should only recruit transfers who are proven and are close to being drafted.

Because its expensive to get top portal players and with freshmen you can build them up the way you want.

You'll lose some freshmen, but when a position has depth issues, you portal.

It’s important to have a top 5 class every once in a while but LSU has never and will never have a top 5 class year in year out.

I think Miles managed it 2 years in a row once.

Eddie did it in 2020 and 2021. That worked out great for him.
