LSU fans have sucked for years.....it hasn't hurt us in recruiting so far and I doubt it will start.

However, the stadium's not at capacity for a single game the entire year

Only 3 SEC games. 1 of which was at 11am, 1 of which was so hot people were passing out, and the 3rd has yet to be played.

of the 3 OOC games, 1 was fcs and in the other 2 LSU looked awful and even lost one of them for the first time in 17 years.

the Tiger Stadium slate has been getting worse and worse over the years and this years was the worst yet.

I think a good bit of our fanbase is spoiled and unreasonable. But UGA is in 1st place in the east and fighting to get into the CFP or, at worst, a NY6 game. LSU is playing for pride at this point. So comparing the atmospheres isn't accurate.

Exactly this. The atmosphere this Saturday will be much better than, say, an 11am kickoff. The atmosphere for Auburn was fantastic. This is an article from 2015 talking about UGA's attendance.

ATHENS
Georgia will complete its home football schedule Saturday night against Georgia Southern, and as usual all of the tickets have been sold.

That doesn’t necessarily mean Sanford Stadium will be full, as was obvious at the Bulldogs’ most recent sold-out home game Nov. 7 against Kentucky.

Although the announced attendance for that game was Georgia’s standard 92,746 — defined as tickets sold plus passes issued — the actual attendance counted by the hand-held ticket scanners at the gates was 53,646, according to figures obtained from UGA by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution via an open-records request.

Nothing like it was in the 70s and 80s.

We had the best atmosphere from 2000-2012. Our fan base and new generation of fans just aren't as good and they aren't as loud or don't show up. Its not like it once was. The big games though we are hard to be beaten in the entire country.

It is indeed a problem, but the majority of the fan base has such a self entitled attitude that they don’t care. They don’t care that their negative attitude towards the program and leaving early to beat traffic has repercussions because it’s their money and they do what they want.

it will be back. i don't know when but eventually the administration will figure out how to improve the gameday experience enough to entice people to stay + the team will be exciting enough. When those 2 things happen in tandem you'll see full crowds for the SEC + night games (sans fcs opponents).

Now, will we ever go back to packing out the stadium for every single game? Probably not, but thats not an LSU thing.

The LSU fan base is just very spoiled and entitled. The Tigers are 8-3 and ranked #18 in the nation. It's not what we want, but do you truly understand just how many fan bases would kill to be in this position? I want championships like everyone else, but I'm at least old enough to appreciate a good team. I remember the bad ones prior to Dinardo.

Eh, you can say this about every elite program. Expectations are a good thing. You know who has "reasonable" expectations? Mississippi State.

“LSU fans always suck, _____ fans are always great”. Pretty much stopped reading right there. Never seems to be true and most people who say this kind of stuff really have no idea how other school’s fans are.

All fans complain when their team is consistently sub par. At one time I thought Aggies were the exception but from what I’ve seen lately, they have as little tolerance for being irrelevant at the end of the year as everybody else.

Georgia changed coaches for a reason, if they really had this sort of unconditional support from their fanbase that wouldn’t have happened.

lol 2003 and 2017 are 2 totally different experiences.

the dude is telling the truth, other than 1 or 2 games a year the crowd sucks arse

You get a team in 2017, 2018, or whenever in the future, playing essentially for a national championship bid, and the crowd in Tiger Stadium will be just like 2003 Georgia.

I'm not saying that's good, bad, or whatever. I'm just saying it's the truth.

Oh No! Not Entitled! Head coach sycophants seem to love this word. Anybody who wants to win a championship is “entitled” which is apparently very bad. Better to not want championships so Coach (insert name here) can keep his job forever and never have expectations to meet.

I wonder what their crown is like when they have 3-4 losses and playing for a Liberty Bowl berth.

Which could be next year with all the Jrs and Srs they're playing in 2017. At least 9 start on Defense.
