I embrace the villain role, if exploiting NCAA and judiciary ambiguities makes us the villains.

And the schools who are angry about it are only angry they didn’t do it first.

All of this. Any college/fan that says their school wouldn’t do it is full of shite. Since when is college football the beacon of honor and virtue? Give me a break.

This!

Several years ago pretty much everyone and all the sports media were saying “pay the players”. And now everyone is acting shocked at what’s happening. How is anyone really surprised by this?? Careful what you wish for

Sometimes its better to fly under the radar. But that isn't going to happen with Lane as our HC.

I don’t think we are there yet but it’s like y’all totally have forgotten the backlash at Texas Tech for pushing it too far. There is still very much a court of public opinion

Sorsby broke the Golden Rule in sports. LSU hasn't broken a single rule.

Totally different situation. A lot of flack should be thrown at the NCAA but I'm failing to see a Texas Tech like backlash being thrown at LSU.

Like I said, I don’t think we are there yet. But the Big Ten just proposed a conference level rule formally banning this. A lot of people are upset.

How do you ban a court order?

The double standard is bull shite though.

We got scolded on sec now last night. With no mention of other schools. Doesn’t texas have an OL coming back?

Yeah that’s just going to lead to even more lawsuits. Idk if that’s necessarily a smart move.

People can bitch all they want. But some kids getting an extra year of eligibility is the least of college sports’ problem right now.

Conference commissioners, NCAA, network execs, judges all have their hands dirty in ruining CFB.

The court order was just to give the extra year of eligibility.

If the conference makes a rule saying once you sign a pro contract you aren’t an eligible player, it wouldn’t contradict the ruling. It’s not like the ruling stripped all conditions of eligibility

Apparently the big 4 conferences all are considering making that rule.
