As fantastic as a win next Sunday against USC would be, I don't think it's gonna happen, but that's fine.

We'll probably have to play them twice more - in the SEC Tourney, and in the NCAA Tourney. Honestly, the last one is the only one that truly matters. It's extremely hard to beat the same team three times in one season, and if we only win one - that last one - I'm sure we'd all be pretty happy.

But also, wait until next year, when they lose so much.

We’re about to blow them off their own court. I never thought I’d take a trip to see WBB, but I just might for this one.

If we play them 3 times we MAY win one…but u never know. Next year on the other hand is a different story with the class coming in and them losing the core of their team

Will be really tough to beat them. They’re super physical and in shape.

1. It is less than 50-50 that LSU and Carolina will meet three times this season. LSU simply has not gone up against the top teams in the country this year and that fact makes it unlikely we'd get far enough in the NCAA to meet South Cackalacky a third time.

2. LSU has a very strong team now in WBB and I do not mean to downplay their talent and actual play. But our lack of roster depth, talented roster depth, is a major weakness when we play a team like Carolina. USCe is 10 players deep of kids who could start at LSU.

3. Unfortunately the SEC is down greatly in WBB this season. I hope we react well when we get into a tight game in the NCAA.

Ok Stanford is a good team right? #2 in the AP poll, so they must be ok.

Here's some scores (all home game for Stanford)
Stanford 77 Tennessee 70
Stanford 63 Oregon State 60
Stanford 71 South Carolina 76 (OT)

LSU 76 Tennessee 68
LSU 87 Oregon State 55 (Maui)
LSU ?? South Carolina ??

Kim Mulkey had the Lady Tigers close to an upset with a much less talented team last year (lost by only 6). It is in fact, QUITE likely that we go far enough to face South Carolina a 3rd time.

And then their racist coach said if Niki had the support CM is getting it they would have been better. I guess she doesn’t agree that Niki sucks. Her lack of game day coaching and recruiting didn’t have anything to do with her being fired (I’m sorry I meant to say resigned) ??

I would agree. SC will be the overall #1 seed, barring any big upsets. That means we'll more than likely not see them before the final four, UNLESS we're the lowest ranked #2 seed.

I DO NOT agree here. We can go 8 deep, and that's generally deep enough in women's basketball. What SC has right now, in terms of depth is not the norm. SC is deep. But not all of their bench players "would start at LSU". They are talented however, and deeper than we are currently. But even with that, the depth didn't prevent them from still playing a close game against UConn, who is currently thinner than we are. Last season we were definitely less talented AND less deep than SC and still almost won the game. Both teams will be rested on February 12th. I expect it to be a close game, but I DO believe SC has to be the favorite.

Speak for yourself Mr.MA.

With all the hype this team is getting any, any LSU Fan that's content with one win is a certified "Mediocrity Acceptor."

MA's are "Enemies of the State" with low standards of excellence for themselves, the State of Louisiana and the University.

So, winning a championship is mediocrity if they don’t win all the regular season games?

And just for the newbies who would normally be bitching and moaning about MBB but you’re all over these threads because the women are undefeated:

Let’s say this team finishes the regular season at 27-1 or 26-2 with at least a two-seed in the NCAA wrapped up.

Get ready and spare us your bitching and crying. In a situation like that, Kim Mulkey does NOT prioritize the SEC tournament.

Don’t be surprised at a loss right after the double-bye. Kim is not going to tank but she values the extra rest before the NCAAT much more than wearing her troops down to go all out and win the SECT.

Just thought I’d try and head you crybabies off at the pass if and when this happens.

This is actually a myth. Usually if you beat a team two times in a row that means you are the better team.

People love to throw this out come playoff football time but never mention the fact that the team that wins the first two games wins the third game over 60 percent of the time.
