Another great idea by Joe goat Alleva that fell on deaf ears

But if he fired him "with cause" it would nullify the contract correct?

Just a guess, but I would imagine once the totality of Les' indiscretions came to light Alleva realized he needed to go.

Back in 2013, a former player (00-04) told me that the blow up was over Les making a move on a big boosters daughter that worked in the athletic dept. and the booster wanted blood.

If I remember correctly, a few posters started threads on this at the time. Of course they were whacked, but not before being filled with "STFU"

Why didn’t he pull the plug in 2015 again?

Alleva, the TD villain, was the hero compared to Les

Jindal and friends.

Can't find it but insert image here of scowling Alleva and boosters at Miles post A&M press conference in 2015.

The board shut him down. Alleva sucked but to his credit he had Les fired and Jimbo coming to LSU in 2015 until the board went over his head and shut it down.

Not really following how Alleva is viewed in the wrong here... he obviously gave a contract extension because of the Arkansas rumors and he was still winning, 10-3 and and one year removed from a BCSCG appearance. Then he realized inappropriate behavior occurred and perused firing with cause to protect the university and athletic dept

Yes but you better have your ducks in a row and most people won’t do it unless it is an open and shut case. If not it could end up being a lawsuit that eventually cost you more than the buyout would

That was a depressing ride home. I couldn’t believe Miles kept his job.

God damnit I was really hoping I'd never hear the name Joe Alleva again.

Now that's it's all out in the open, I posted on here years ago that Miles was almost fired the year in question , and as you might imagine I was attacked often & early from all sides. I posted that once my source was dead , I would post the insiders name . All I can say is the man who told me this WAS IN THE ROOM when this came up. He's still alive , so I can't say his name yet , but it doesn't take much imagination to figure out who it was . PoorOleLess .

Alleva pretty much says maybe its better for LSU the institution from a reputational standpoint to go ahead and fire him and take the risk of any courtroom monetary damages.

And Alleva was right.

If you view Alleva as wrong here....you are a clown.
