And LSU vs. Bama, the game presidents come to watch, the most watched and anticipated game in college football over the last 15 years, isn't even listed.

LINK

I get it, you guys (Bama) have Auburn and Tennessee. Why then do both teams take the week off, every year, to prepare for this battle?

LSU v bama is a rivalry only because the 2 fanbases have declared it a rivalry.

You can't really compare that to a traditional rivalry in sports, which arises due to deep animosity between 2 teams/2 regions, states, etc.

For decades LSU's rival was Ole Miss and Tulane. Fan bases couldn't stand one another i.e. Michigan V. Ohio State. Many people < 50 yrs old have no clue that Tulane was a member of the SEC until 1965 when they went Independent.

Lol. Oh yeah. Only bc of that little fact that evidently somehow means nothing.

You like I don’t find the mere mention of the state of Alabama repulsive and shun any Bama fan simply for their allegiance to the Dark Empire. I would say what makes this not as big a rivalry yet is how one sided it’s been recently. LSU fans HATE Bama. But do Bama fans hate LSU with the same intensity. Maybe not yet. But if we keep winning the West, we get ourselves a new classic rivarlry!

Bama fans hate LSU. LSU and Alabama is the biggest rivalry in the SEC. LSU is the game Saban worries about more than any other, more than Auburn.

it takes more than 15 years to develop something that would be viewed as a rivalry by those outside the two fan bases.

What a bullshite list. They don't even have the LSU bama game listed in the top 20? It's the biggest game with title implications every fricking year. What idiot made this list?

Any mention of Ohio State and Michigan should automatically be deleted.

The playoff committee must be voting on this and ranking. The playoff committee needs a serious investigation on the fraud that was committed propping up all big 10 schools just to make Ohio State look better and ranked #1.

Luckily several members had to leave and several new faces brought in to vote and LSU just barely got in at #1 after destroying GA.

I don't know if I've ever seen a more a blatant at commiting fraud.

Yeah I'm confident they see us on the schedule but not quite sure they are worried yet or call it a rivalry.
8 in a row screwed that up

It's not that simple IMO. We have rivals, but no true rival. We may consider Bama, Auburn and Florida as rivals, but all three have 2 other schools that are bigger/more traditional rivals to them.

Rivalry or not, it's usually the biggest, most impactful college football game of the year. The game suffered a bit when Bama reeled off the winning streak, but CBS still picked this game as their one primetime game how many years in a row.

Biggest college game of the regular season- most years.

ok. not everyone considers bama a rivalry. i understand that.

i do find the mere mention of the state of Alabama repulsive. i hate Auburn but don't get repulsed even though they show allegiance to their particular tiger and an eagle that fights in wars. (confusing)

i live in Mississippi and worship in church with a few sec fans. i have conversations with all fans but have little to say about football when it comes to the gump fans. even with the recent win. i'm tight lipped unless they bring it up.

the animosity goes way back and it is deep.
i suppose if the gumps fans were not having relations with their sisters/cousins my regard for the people in that state may change.
i think it's possible.

it's a rivalry, no doubt about that.
