The parents have utterly failed this girl. She has zero chance of ever being a productive member of society. I’ve always said the most cruel form of abuse a parent can inflict on their child is to not raise them right because what you’re doing is sentencing them to a life of failure.

Maybe but by placing blame on the parents aren't you also guilty of excusing her behavior by doing so? At what point is an adult, and their behavior, not the parents responsibility? Not all spoiled kids drive a jeep through a house. This particular one did. She is to blame not the parents.

Lots of truth in that.
I've also learned that some children just offer extremely more challenges than other children. We see that all the time with siblings raised in the same environment turning out completely differently.
That said, I think this person kept running out of daddy's money because she was spending it on drugs,
or she's mentally ill.
I'm gonna go with both

I'd press charges
If she's doing thousands of dollars in damage she can sort out her emotional regulation issues with the prison guards and inmates
