TE's aren't going to win you ball games

Very debatable that any of our QBs outside Nuss can get it done. We have no clue how they are, I think they will be forgotton between the transition from Nuss to Underwood whether that be fall 25 or fall 26

There's been nothing to lead me to believe this will be true for defense portion. Not super concerned about WR's but DBs I am.

Nuss is currently a 2nd round grade. One guy had him #10 pick although I don't agree. He will probably continue to do well and maybe get himself in late 1st round talks. Don't see him stay.

Mason Taylor I think will be gone although a likely 5th or 6th round pick.

Yes this post is grossly ignoring how much talent we’re stacking at certain positions. Next years defense on paper is the most talented defense in the Brian Kelly era. The corner room will feel like a classic LSU cb room. DJ Pickett is a Stingley/peterson level talent he’s a day 1 starter at corner , stamps should be pretty good by year 3, PJ woodland is a dog, Kade Phillips and Aidan sending are another stud from the 2025 class,

The biggest concern on the team is DBs.

Of those DBs you named, none of them on the roster today are good. Stamps is ranked 688th by 247 and is a 3 star across the board. PJ Woodland is the same, a 3 star across the board, 506th ranked player, besides ESPN who has at 300th.

Look at Stamps offer list. Aidan Anding doesn't have any top SEC offers and is another 3 star. Picket is legit. Kade Phillips is good, but again, I don't see any offer from Bama, UGA, or Ohio St.

The issue is talent. We have to recruit better. DJ Picket is huge. Not saying we'll get every 5 star DB, but there's no reason we shouldn't have top 150 players across the board at DB. Hell even top 100. Atkins is another 3 star with no top SEC offers.

So basically what you're saying is we have to rely on true freshman next year to be good because Stamps and Woodland have made it abundantly clear by now that they aren't good.

I know people gut reaction to a negative post about LSU football will be "No No we are fine." but we aren't. Those DBs are horrible here. They have been horrible since last year.

LSU recruits Top 6 classes year in and year out, and we somehow put up a 80th ranked defense in 2023 and a 58th ranked defense in 2024? That's atrocious and no excuse.

If we could’ve disguised ourselves as Vandy w/ our roster, we could’ve shocked them, several years … but LSU has their undivided attention and best effort.

while i generally agree, this is where NIL has made a difference in favor of the colleges. both of these guys are from pretty well off families, so $$$ may not be the driving issue. If they love college, can make some cheese, and improve their draft stock, its not 100% they're gone.

I'm not sure Taylor came from just a "well off" family.

Corey Raymond had three corners circles on his board before the season. Pickett, Offord, and yes, Kade Phillips.

He’s a stud

You bring back at skill positions

RB: Durham, Kaleb
WR: Anderson, Hilton, Thomas, Parker, Sampson
TE: Green, Pimpton

Add in Berry, Lindsay at RB and Meadows, Wright, Francis at WR

Need to be aggressive in WR portal recruiting. Not sure I’d consider that loaded, especially by modern LSU standards.

Sure LSU loses 4 OL next but we won`t have to start freshman .LSU has
backups who will be 3rd year Sophs. Not like 2 years ago when 2 freshman
had to start.DL is playing young players and LBs will be more athletic and
football savvy than b4.BKs recruiting is better every year and this class is
like NSs 2001 class ,full of studs.

Offense might take a step back with the new OL and QB but BK has recruited well at both positions and i would think they will be more than capable of scoring points

Defense will be light years better, both in talent and depth.

BS!.....But, it will take LSU getting off it's arse and doing EXACTLY what OM did last year and acquire some heavy talent.

You know who else were 3 stars ? Tyrann Mathieu and Mo Claiborne, two of the best dbs in LSU history stop acting like 3 stars are automatic trash and have no chance of being good players. Stamps has already clearly outperformed his rankings. Is he a Stingley level corner ? No but he’s very solid idk why your talking about the kid like he csnt play he had a great performance against a talented usc wr room and is still jus a true sophomore, woodland was clearly underrated by recruiting services im pretty sure he was the top ranked player in the state of Mississippi.

Kade Phillips is literally a consensus 4 star and top 10 corner in the 2025 class I don’t give a damn if he didn’t get an offer from fricking GA or bama he’s clearly a rlly good talent at rhe position and should be a stud for us. Aidan Anding has moved to a 4 star on 247 cause he’s had a monster senior year if you’ve been paying attention. He also did a great job covering Trey’dez green in HS last year. He has a very good chance at being ranked the no.1 corner in Louisiana surpassing Antoine. I will always take a stud Louisiana cb or wr those guys are usually always underrated by recruiting services. Your being too damn negative and not lookin at the clear talent we’re bringing in while ignoring young guys who’ve clearly shown talent because your blinded by stars and not what they’ve shown on the field smh
