9-3 :\

Maybe we can avoid that 4th loss and sneak into Atlanta like we almost did this past year.

I'd like to see LSU play Bama not off a BYE.

so yes, they have drawn a weak SEC schedule again, with Georgia and A&M the only challenges, outside of a possible improved Florida and improved OU.

No Georgia? No Auburn? Not even Texas? This schedule sucks as far as league games go. Who got the Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State trifecta?

The SEC just flipped the ‘24 opponents. It still just amazes me how the office was so bad at figuring out a plan with a two year head start on adding Texas and OU. I know media $ and whether to go to 9 game schedule was the focal point.

It really looks like the SEC office lined everything to where LSU gets a break after a tough game

Wishful thinking but sure.

Is it really just wishful thinking though? Jaxson Dart is gone & is just one out of the 34 players who ran out of eligibility for Ole Miss.

Coach Lane Kiffin has made his case to the College Football Playoff selection committee before the final bracket is determined Sunday. As the senior-laden team that had 34 players walk on senior day prepares for bowl game, attention turns to which of the new Rebels could make an impact as a freshman in 2025.

Cunningham comes to Ole Miss at a good time for the Rebels. Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins and Juice Wells, three of Ole Miss' four leading receivers this season, are seniors

Cornerback Trey Amos is projected to be an early pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

I think they fully expected they could work something out with ESPN to go to a 9-game conference schedule. The fact that they are doing this a year at a time shows that is still their plan. Now, how they ended splitting opponents so unevenly between Oklahoma and Texas is beyond me. Really they just needed to swap Ole Miss and Miss St. Tennessee and Missouri should have been scheduled to face each other as well.

Florida week 3, at home. Interesting. I've never known us to play them that early-- at least since '65 when we play them week 3 in Gainesville, October 2, 1965. We wore purples that afternoon, Florida wore white on a 100 degree day, they had their newly developed Gatorade on the sidelines, LSU did not, and the outcome was inevitable.

I still like 'em better in that position than after Alabama.

The way Kelly works, we will know by September next year if the season is over.
