Josh Williams = Jacob Hester

Neither guy was highly recruited but both have earned the top spot in the room because of how hard they play and how reliable they are.

John Emery = Keiland Williams

Emery doesn't have the calves of his predecessor but just like WIlliams, he is a freak athlete that makes freak plays from time to time but for whatever reason neither could win the top spot and become the bell cow.

Noah Cain = Charles Scott

Both are big bruisers that have proven to be reliable when called upon. Neither have the speed or flashiness of their teammates but both are effective power backs.

Armani Goodwin = Trindon Holliday

Both are speed backs that can get the edge on a defense. I will admit that this is the weakest of the comps as Holliday was extremely quick while Goodwin seems to be more of a one cut sprinter but both serve the same role for the backfield.

Need to see Armani rush the passer first before making an assessment.

Yeah, I'd take every single one of those 2007 RBs over their 2023 counterpart I think

Never said they would be as good as 2007, just that they all have very similar skillsets to 2007.

I don’t recall Williams being that much of a fumbler.

John Emery only wishes he had Keiland Williams' calves

If John makes it on the field in the fall.

I wasn't talking about fumbling but this John Emery highlight looks an awful lot like this Keiland Williams highlight. Keilands run is at the 13:10 mark, not sure if it will take you directly to that spot in the link.

Emery’s calves aren’t in the same hemisphere.

You better go look at Hester’s offer list. Just because recruiting services ranked him low doesn’t mean that top teams weren’t after him.

Trindan Holiday. Not even as fast. Don’t think Goodwin will be here ten years either.

I'll lose my shite if Williams can be CLOSE to what Hester was in 2007. He was the heart of that team.

I’m not really trying to bash ya, cuz I appreciate people who make posts and try to have original thoughts but this is a pretty bad take. I think every one of those 2007 backs is better than every back from 23. It’s really not even comparable, that stable from 07 was amazing whereas this one is kinda meh.
