I love how toxic our fans are in regard to Daniels, it's great. Dude just took us to Atlanta and helped us win 10 games a year removed from a 6 win season in 2021, nbd. We haven't won 10 games since Joe was here yall. What's even funnier to me is how yall pit JD against Nuss and take such a hardline against the one you don't want playing. Check the sideline after either of them throw a td pass and let me know who reacts like they just watched their brother sling a td pass. They both do. They seem to be close and both bleed P&G. Both will be in the NFL sooner than later. I hope we have packages with both of em out there in formation and it wrecks shop and drives DC's up the walls. Happy to have players that want to play here and win. Just me

Daniels would have left after this past season if he got that draft grade .

Thanks.
Hoping JD takes it up a notch next year but I don’t know.

Well, draft sites disagree with your opinion.
I believe they have a bit more expertise and information than the two of us.

One fact is he lead the league in taking sacks. I would think as fast as he is he would have been on the bottom of that list.
What’s his sack rate at ASU ?
Any QB not named Daniels would have been thrown to the wolves. We had two freshman tackles end of the year. What does that tell you?
Line sucked baw. We happen to have hit on two freshmen. Call it luck, whatever you want. Hell of a recruiting cycle. That doesn’t happen in the SEC what these two tackles just did was incredible for freshman.
They are too notch
Kudos to them.
Go watch the Florida state game again. The line didn’t form a pocket all 4

Right. A historically awful O-line...
43 sacks seems like a lot of sacks.

How many more years he need
At least 3 more with a good O-line, top flight receivers and a killer running attack. Then he'll be perfect.

2019-32
2020-6
2021-26
2022-43
He’s always taken sacks is what those numbers tell me.

Lol let's completely ignore the fact that Stetson didn't throw the ball damn near at all in 10 games of the 4th quarter this season. Let's pretend it's all the same lol
Um the yardage part wasn’t really the point at all.

Last year Stetson had a 10 yard average and this year he was still in the 9s. Jayden was in the 7s which was the bottom half of the SEC. He doesn’t push the ball down field and a lot of the successful plays are passes barely beyond the line of scrimmage. He will need to improve bottom line

Never have figured out people like you. Do you try to improve your life daily/weekly/yearly to be a better person and improve your life? Jayden is not going to quit working at his craft. He will get even better next year. Try to think positive.

Should we include rushing stats? I’ll agree with all the responses about Daniel’s obsession-for mental lapse of a better word- to take off running. Also, Bennet had a NFL line to operate behind, IMO. I’m not discounting Daniels, or hyping Bennet. I think there are too many other variables. Just an opinion

Yes, I mentioned that in the OP.

Nobody on this board wants to hear about his rushing stats, even though his rushing ability is very valuable and effective.

That’s a dumb fricking statement.
Stetson Bennet made a big jump from year 4-5.
You can also look at a guy like Kenny Picket. 4 year starter. Super up and down. 5th year clicked out of nowhere. Same OC his last 3 years of college.
Jordan Travis was extremely mediocre last year and made a huge jump this year (his 5th year. This was his 4th year at FSU and 3rd with Norvell.

All passes over 10 yards Jayden Daniels 59/113 = 52.2% for 1,189 yards Stetson Bennett 96/179 = 53.6% for 2,320 yards Passes over 20 yards Jayden Daniels 15/40 = 37.5% for 490 yards Stetson Bennett 21/55 = 38.1% for 835 yards Jayden is not a bad passing QB. Yes, he needs to take more chances down the field, and I believe he will after a full year with this coaching staff and an improved O-line.
So I’m a run first offense Stetson Bennet threw it 50% more times than Jayden daniels did in a spread concept out of the shotgun?
I think that pretty much back ls up what people
Have been saying about daniels all along, THROW THE DAMN FOOTBALL!

Their totals are very similar, though I don't have it broken down.
2021 Stetson was 185/287 = 64.5% for 2,862 yards.
2022 Daniels was 266/388 = 68.6% for 2,913 yards.
So obviously Stetson took a big leap in his last year.
So with 100 fewer throws, Bennet is only 51 yards behind Daniels. Yay captain check down!

I really hope that JD can flip the switch with his deep passing game.
I don’t want deep. I want 8-15 yard air throws in the middle of the field.
That’s what made Burrow and Young and Stroud elite.
