As I see it the QB first and most important job is to pass the ball

It's to move the football and score TDs. It doesn't matter how that is done. A passing TD counts the same as a rushing TD. We averaged over a TD better per game this season compared to last (26 pts per game vs 34).

In fact, you have to go all the way back to 2013 (outside of 2019) to find a year when LSU scored more points per game than this season.

Reuter projects Daniels as a late-second-round to fourth-round prospect and compared him to former Texas A&M starter Kellen Mond. Mond was selected in the third round by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021.

You gotta love all the NFL QB experts on TD.

How much meaningful playing time has he gotten?

You think he will throw less picks under pressure?

He settled in nicely during the bowl game because he wasn’t yankee after 2-3 plays.

And he threw a pick in the bowl game.

Maybe that’s all he needs. He will improve with time and repetition. Daniels likely won’t get much, if any, better.

I jope So, I think He has talent. But for all the shite Daniels gets for not being able to read a defense, Nuss throws into double coverage constantly.

Well, again we disagree because if a QB cannot run the passing game he is NO good. There it is my simple friend.

He operated the short passing game very well actually. That combined with his rushing ability moved the football a lot this year and scored us a lot of points. The 2nd most for LSU in a season since 2013 (I mention this again because you ignored it the first time).

Mentioning this is akin to mentioning that someone won a gold medal in the Special Olympics. Wow.

When did he throw a lot of picks? Right. His last year at ASU. Poor coaching made him do it.

Jd5 could win a natty at Georgia roster but LSU needs a player maker at qb.

after a full year

always needs just one more year

He didn't need one more year to beat Bama for LSU's first win in Tiger Stadium over them in 12 years while helping the Tigers win the West with a team that was picked to finished 5th in the West. He showed up in a major way in the game that mattered to LSU fans the most.

If Bennett wasn't a play maker Georgia wouldn't have beaten Ohio St nor even Mo.

I can't imagine a QB that couldn't beat A&M or Arkansas, without a great play from Perkins, would have led Georgia to a Title.

Do you realize this is compiled by a journalist such as a Scott Rabalais type “expert” right ? There is no way Daniels returned if he had a 2-3 round draft grade from the actual NFL , not a website . But hey believe what you want . I’m sure you also think he is a competent passer.

Writer of article cites source from NFL.com. I presume someone along the lines of Mike Detillier.

PFF Analytics rates Daniels as a top ten QB for next year’s draft. Top ten QBs are drafted in first three rounds.

According to most sites, he was projected the same this year had he entered the draft.

But hey, I’m sure you are more knowledgeable and a better evaluator than those who do this for a living.

He is a terrible down field passer. His yards per attempt are putrid, his total passing yards are pedestrian, and passing TDs are not championship caliber. Justify and make up whatever you would like, but he will never be a good passer. He holds the ball way too long, runs too often, and will not allow his playmakers to make plays down the field. Most of his passing yards are from short throws behind or near the LOS, so his completion percentage is good. His lack of ability and lack of productive drives (TDs) was so evident against FSU, Auburn, Tenn, Ark, A&M, and UGA.

Shame that a 4th year starter just needs "1 more season"

We’ll see where Daniels is drafted. I bet it is not very high.

Another dispassionate analysis of Daniels the QB. He would be better served as a WR or maybe DB.

I’m sure there is a betting option you can take, make that bet.

Personally, I have no idea when he will be drafted. I assume he has a lot of upside due to his athletic ability and is being slotted as a late second to early third round selection for this reason.

That said, your opinion runs contrary to what is thought by those who predict draft orders.

Make the bet, if you’re correct that’s easy money.
