I guess it might depend heavily on the election, but with the clowns out west, what are the odds LSU gets to make their first trip to Rose Bowl Stadium with fans at the start of the 2021 season?

Get ready to be underwhelmed by UCLA fans and the venue. The weather will more than likely be perfect though!

Most overrated stadium in sports. Nothing unique looking about the stadium itself. The biggest perk is you can tailgate on a golf course.

I think people are excited by the setting and the weather. At least I am.

I think people are trying to equate playing in the stadium and playing in the actual "Rose Bowl"

UCLA, much like A&M, has everything on paper to be a powerhouse program. But for much of their history, they’ve been underwhelming.
I’m going to make the trip though just to check out Pasadena. Should be a nice weekend.

I actually think I'd rather play in that new $5 Billion stadium. Looks nicer than any stadium I've seen

If I still lived out west I would be going to this one for sure.
Haven't been to Pasadena, but the parts of Cali I did see (San Diego, Orange County) were really cool.

Obviously playing in the actual Rose Bowl game would be preferable (big game, historic bowl), but it’s still a draw that LSU will be playing a game in the middle of the San Gabriel mountains on Labor Day in a still historic venue. L.A. is also a fun city to visit. But sure, maybe we should have done Dallas again.

They have every advantage USC does except theyre in the middle of Brentwood and Beverly Hills as opposed to Compton and Watts. One is surrounded by barb wire, one is surrounded by perfect Asian girls, and the one with bullet holes in the walls is the one with all the titles.

the Rose Bowl will be dominated by LSU alum, and fans. The alum group in San Diego and So. Cal is one of the largest alum groups W of the Mississippi. I can guarantee that the tailgate will be a great one, and the fact that LSU people take over and invade will create one to remember. Plan on it ! I can't wait to have LSU in my backyard again. Last LSU game I saw on the W. Coast was 1984 V USC.

It’s an updated Jerry’s World. It’s nice, but nothing about it would make a great college stadium.

Does anyone have a Recommendation on where to stay? Is there stuff/hotels directly around the stadium or is it a Uber in and out type location?

We are staying in Beverly Hills (subtle brag). There are plenty of options in BH, Hollywood, Santa Monica. Only 30 min drive to the stadium.
Our plan is to fly in Thursday afternoon. Spend the day tailgating Saturday, the rest of the trip in LA proper.
I think staying in Pasadena would be a little stale, most of the action will be in LA except for Saturday.

I was thinking about staying in Burbank...easy shot to the stadium
one observation about Pasadena, Jan and Dean nailed it...Pasadena is filled with little old ladies
I'm going to be there simply because it may be the only time in my life that I'll be able to watch the Tigers play in that stadium!!!
