I have family in Rochester so I went with a friend, my father and my nephew. The game was closer than I expected but the Syracuse fans were respectful. There were two dudes behind me who kept yelling, "We may wear blue and orange but we ain't Auburn!" At the end of the game they saw how many yards Fournette had put up and were definitely humbled by it.

That game was 9 years ago? shite.

Yep...drove over from Cleveland. As others have pointed out, the game was frustrating for all the usual Les Miles reasons. But it was interesting seeing that stadium, which of course is one of the most unusual environments in college football. No air conditioning at the time, although I've heard they are have recently added it (or perhaps are just planning to). I talked to one of the stadium personnel about how they configure it for basketball. That was pretty interesting.... Got to shake hands with Leonard Fournette at the end of the game and took a picture with NFL Hall of Fame running back Floyd Little. So it was a pretty memorable trip for me.

Cool trip, we played like shite. Their fans were nice and they sold beer at the dome. The tailgating was kinda sparse. The town is like a mini Pittsburgh

Was there. Unexpectedly stayed at team hotel. Tailgated with some awesome Cuse fans before and had a great time with the locals at the bars after the game. 10/10 experience.

Went to a concert the night before in geneva and enjoyed all that upstate new york has to offer.
All i remember about the game was fournette going off AND he had a huge run called back if I remember correctly.

Being a 11 am start took away from the experience.

Classic rant. Someone starts a good thread about a forgotten road game where it seems everyone had a blast despite some unusual features to the stadium and Miles’ offenses… and someone slips in a shitpost on a former quarterback and game that had zero to do with this thread.

Carrier dome has no air conditioning
The irony of it all, as the dome's namesake, Willis Carrier, invented modern air conditioning!

The thing I remember most about that game?
Karl Malone’s flip phone.

I was there and sweated my arse off in the Carrier Dome. I couldn’t believe how hot it was in there but Tiger fans showed up and showed out. We were LOUD

I try to make all the special away games… it was a great trip! Such a weird stadium. Only special ones I really missed in last 20+ years were at notre dame and UCLA
I need Missouri, Oklahoma now for remaining SEC road trips, have hit all the others

Two trips I had planned that season got cancelled. 1 due to work emergency (Syracuse) and 1 due to the Flooding in Columbia for the South Carolina game.
Finally get to go to a Football game at South Carolina this season but will probably never get the chance to see LSU in Syracuse again...sad.

Took the family to see the Lion King on Broadway then took the train to Syracuse. It was a very scenic trip up the river. It was hot in the stadium as others have mentioned. We rented a car and drove to Niagara after the game. It was a nice little trip.

Syracuse is a basketball and lacrosse town, not football. Not worth the trip then, or now, to see football.

Syracuse fans were all excellent - and that's actually pretty clever

One of the most surprising things for me was the “Carrier Dome” was not air conditioned so it was a bit warm.
I had a fantastic time. But remember this as well and had the same thought

It was a good trip. Flew into Buffalo and stayed in Niagra Falls. Crossed the Border and went have some drinks on the Canadian Side. Crossed over and spent a day in Toronto with a Cousin. Was about a 2-3 hour drive to Syracuse. 11:00 AM Kickoff stunk. Tiger fans were lined up waiting for the bars to open at 08:00. It was easy getting in and out. Syracuse has a really nice campus. Pretty Country with rolling hills going to the game. Carrier Dome is really small. From the Outside looks about the same size as the Thibodaux Civic Center. All is in it was a really cool time.
